Use of Technology Devices Policy and Procedure

Acceptable Use Policy:

  1. The Health Science Program adheres to the Denton ISD Acceptable Use Policy(AUP) whether in the classroom setting or outside of the classroom setting.
  2. Noncompliance with the AUP policy will result in disciplinary actions.

Use of Cell Phone/Technology Device:

Classroom Setting:

  1. Use of the device can only be used at the discretion of the instructor.
  2. Use of the device without permission can result in the devise being taken up and turned into the ATC administration.

Hospital/Clinical Setting:

  1. Use of the device is not allowed at the clinical site.
  2. Use of the device is a violation of both Denton ISD and Health Science Program Policy and will result in disciplinary actions.
  1. If a parent/guardian needs to contact a student, they may call the Advanced Technology Complexat 940-369-4850. The school will then contact the instructor.

Permission for Exchange of Personal Cell Phone Number:

  1. The exchange of phone numbers between instructor and student is for school related purposes only.
  2. Hospital Rotation/Clinical Observation Site is an extension of the learning experience outside of the classroom setting and there may be times the student needs to notify their instructor and/or clinical site of an emergency situation, an absence, or arriving late.
  3. If you preferyour child to not exchange cell phone numbers with their instructor:
  4. Notify the instructor in writing.
  5. Realize your child will need to take extra responsibilities to get any messages and/or notifications to their instructor or their site.
