Cllr Webb mentioned the regular sighting of the new PCSO in Gedney.

ITEM No 6 – QUESTIONS ON DISTRICT COUNCILORS REPORT
District Cllr Marthews updated the council on the polluted Dyke in Gedney Drove End.
It would appear that the pollution is coming from one or more of the properties in Hoburn site. Tests will be carried out by SHDC to find the source and steps taken to stop it from happening.
The problem at Elgoods field could well be down to the same problem.
ITEM No 7 – CLERKS REPORT
All requested correspondence from the February meeting has been sent.
A letter of thanks and some invoices have been received from Gedney Drove End Primary School.
The Dog bin on Main Road Gedney Drove end has been emptied and is now on the route.
Malc Firth has started the Mole control for Dawsmere Cemetery, Dawsmere Playing field and Walker Memorial Park. / 36/09

**** Following lengthy discussion at the Parish meeting it was proposed and seconded to withdraw from the Voluntary Car service as its usage had dwindled over the past year, the scheme seems to have been superseded by Call Connect within the parish and there are no disabled facilities. The cost to the parish was no longer economic. A vote of four in favour and two against (Cllr Webb recorded his vote against). Council RESOLVED to withdraw from the service.

  1. Update on outstanding matters
Cllr Webb informed the council that the request for double yellow lines to be placed
On the sharp bend of Engine Dyke, outside Barns Mill entrance in Gedney Dyke had
Been turned down by highways as unenforceable.
The upgrading of the footway from the school at Gedney Drove End to the Village hall to enable Access for disabled has hit a stumbling block. Council RESOLVED for the clerk to contact Highways and discuss.
