Organization of pick-ups at central train station and airports

-If you arrive at the central train station, you will be picked up directly at the platform; please look for someone from the transfer agency holding up a sign “Robert Bosch Stiftung”

-If you arrive at one of the airports, you will also be picked up directly at the exit gate after baggage claim; please look for someone from the transfer agency holding up a sign “Robert Bosch Stiftung”

How to get from your hostel to the central train station

on the day of departure

-Walk about 500m to the public transport station “U-Turmstraße”
(see map above)

-Get onto bus “TXL” in the direction of “S/U-Alexanderplatz”, NOT in the direction of “Airport”; during the day this bus leaves every 5 minutes

-Get off the bus after 2 stops (a 5min ride) at “Hauptbahnhof”

-You will enter the central train station from the North entrance “Europaplatz”

-Your trains will leave either from a platform above or below ground so check beforehand where you will need to go

How to get back to the hostel from Kalkscheune after the opening party

There will be transfer buses back to the hostel between 11 and 12 pm. The opening party ends at 12 pm. If you prefer to return to the hostel later, you will need to return by public transportation, e.g.:

-Walk to the public transport station “U Oranienburger Tor”

-Get into U6 in the direction of “U Alt-Tegel” (leaves at 00:32 am)

-Get off U6 at “U Naturkundemuseum”

-Change to “Bus 245” in the direction of “Alt-Moabit/Gotzkowskystr.”

-Get off the bus at “U-Turmstraße” (arrival at 00:47 am)

Riding the subway at night

-Public transport runs during the week mostly until 1:00am

-Afterwards nightbuses (e.g. “N2”, “N6”) run every 30min close to the subway lines

-Some buses (e.g. “M-buses”) and trams (e.g. “M10”) run the whole night

Taxi Fares start at € 3.20, then you pay € 1.65 per km. You can share a regular taxi with up to four people.
