1. ELIGIBILITY STATEMENT

Please confirm eligibility for this program as follows:

The director/s are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Australians with at least two ‘eligible drama credits’ as a director
(please indicate under ‘Key Principals in Section 3 of this form).

In the case of co-writing teams, made up of Indigenous and non-Indigenous writers, the original concept is from the Indigenous writer.

The producer is either:
an ‘experienced producer’, or
a producer who has at least two ‘eligible drama credits’, or

an emerging producer applying in conjunction with an ‘experienced producer’.

An ‘eligible drama credit’ under this program is a drama film or program of at least 10 mins which has:
- screened at a recognised film festival (Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand or Annecy; Adelaide Film Festival, Brisbane International Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, Revelation Perth International Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival; Flickerfest or St Kilda Film Festival); or
- been nominated for an AACTA Award; or
- been broadcast by a recognised broadcaster or channel; or
- had a commercial theatrical release.

An ‘experienced producer’ is defined as having at least one credit as producer on:
- a feature film that has been released on a minimum of five commercial screens in one territory, OR
- a primetime broadcast drama mini-series or telemovie.

You will need to list your credits in Section 3 of this form.

The project has a local presale for Australian free-to-air or subscription television rights, with a minimum licence fee of $440,000 per broadcast hour, as per the guidelines for this program.

IMPORTANT: If you are intending to access the Producer Offset, you must be able to provide a Producer Offset Provisional Certificatebefore the decision meeting at which your application will be considered. To allow Screen Australia’s Producer Offset and Co-production Unit (POCU) sufficient processing time, this means you must have lodged the relevant form/s with them before submitting your Production Investment application.

Because the POCU is subject to the provisions of the Tax Act and cannot share information with the Indigenous Unit, you must provide the POCU’s email confirmation with your Production Investmentapplication as proof of lodgement.
