THE EASTERN PROVINCE AMATEUR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

ST FRANCIS LINKS GOLF CLUB

The tournament is open to all amateur golfers with a handicap of 7 (Seven) or less and who are members of golf clubs affiliated to the South African Gold Association.

The tournament will be a strokeplay format event over 36 holes on Saturday 23rd January with the leading 48 players qualifying for the first round of matchplay event on Sunday24th January. The final two rounds to be played on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January 2010.A seeded draw will be done for the matchplay event. This will be done on Saturday 23rd January after the days play.

The draw for the strokeplay event will be published in The Herald on Friday 22 January 2010 and posted on the Eastern Province Golf Union website,

This tournament will be held under the rules ofgolf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club and any local rules approved by the Eastern Province Golf Union Tournament Committee.

Players to report for registration at least 20 minutes before and the starter at least 10 minutes before the allocated starting times. Failure to do the latter could lead to disqualification.

The dress code of the St Francis Links Golf Club will apply and no caddies are available.
