KENYA VISA INFORMATION

Visa Assistance

A passport and visa are required for entry into Kenya. While single-entry visas are currently still available upon arrival at Kenyan airports, Kenya Immigration plans to end visas upon arrival at some point in the future. Therefore, all travelers are strongly encouraged to apply online through the e-visa process. Immigration has instituted a new visa policy whereby all visitors must obtain visas by using a new online application at this web address:

https://immigration.ecitizen.go.ke/index.php?id=5

This page also lists countries for which a visa is not required.

SMDP will provide an invitation letter to facilitate your visa request process.

When completing your registration form, please be sure to include:
1) Full name, as it appears on your passport
2) Nationality, as it appears on your passport
3) Your passport number, as it appears on your passport
4) Date of expiration on your passport

Please note: The SMDP can only provide a supporting letterif participants submit their request by November 4, 2016.

There are many visa services companies that may be able to obtain your visa for an additional handling fee. Search “Kenya Visa Information” in a search engine such as Google for a listing. Please be advised that it can take several weeks to obtain a visa, so do not delay in submitting your application. The SMDP administrative office can write an official letter of invitation for you, which may be required with your visa application. Please request this letter by contacting Mr. Hugh Allen at no later than three weeks before the programme begins.
