Citizenship Grade

Citizenship is based on classroom behavior including, but not limited to: following directions, participation, being prepared to learn, and generally having respect for everyone. Adherence to the following rules will make your classroom experience more positive. Points may be taken off of a student’s grade for not following my rules or any campus rules.

Classroom Rules
  1. Be in your seat before the tardy bell rings.
  2. Sit/stay in your assigned seat daily.
  3. Do NOT leave the classroom without permission or a pass.
  4. Come to class prepared EVERY DAY.
  5. Raise hand to speak or get up for any reason (tissue, pencil sharpened, trash, etc.)
  6. Use polite (Please and Thank you) and mature language (no swearing).
  7. Turn off and put away all electronics (iPods, cell phones, etc.) during class.

Consequences for Tardiness

Students are expected to be in class every day. You are expected to be in the classroom BEFORE the bell rings (NOT running through the door as it rings!). Tardiness will not be accepted. Anyone who enters the classroom after the bell without a pass is tardy. I will uphold the tardy policy. This is a school-wide policy; you will be expected to follow it. Be responsible. We are teaching them to be good citizens and to be accountable for their actions. Consequences for tardiness are as follows:

Dear parents and students,August 9th, 2017

Hello, my name is Krista Dupas and I will be your student’s Success for High School Teacher for the firstsemester of the 2017-2018 school year. My goal is to help students develop the skills necessary to be successful in high school and throughout life. Students will discover who they are, what they want in life, and determine what they need to do to get it. In order for me to reach my goal, I will need help from all of my students AND parents.

Students can start by reading the attached Success for High School syllabus and signing below. Most importantly, students help by coming to class ready to work each day, following the class rules each day, and by taking responsibility for their own actions.

Parents can start by reading the attached Success for High School syllabus and signing below. I also ask parents to provide me with the most effective methods of contacting you. I will contact parents when students are consistently tardy to class, when students do not follow class rules, or when students continue to use cell phones and iPods in class. I also ask parents to feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns throughout the semester.

Thank you,

Mrs.Krista Dupas
