Extra Credit-Cloud Photo Shoot

Due:

In the past couple of days, we have been learning about the different types of clouds that can be found in our atmosphere. Now, I want you to start putting your learning to use. When you walk outside, see if you can identify the different types of clouds. There are two different ways in which you can earn extra credit:

1.  Take your own pictures of different cloud formations in the atmosphere. On the back of each picture, label the type/name and level (high, middle, low) of the cloud. For each picture you turn in with the correct label, you will earn two (2) extra bonus points on your next test. There are 7 different types of clouds we have discussed in class so you can earn up to 14 bonus points. Unfortunately, you can only turn in one (1) picture for each type of cloud. Remember, the weather is unpredictable, so you may not observe all the different types of clouds within the next two weeks.

2.  Gather pictures of different cloud formations from newspapers or magazines. (NO INTERNET PICTURES!) Glue the picture to a 4 x 6 index card. On the back of each picture, label the type/name and level (high, middle, low) of the cloud. For each picture you turn in with the correct label, you will earn two (2) extra bonus points. There are 7 different types of clouds we have discussed in class, so you can earn up to 14 bonus points on your next test. Unfortunately, you can only turn in one (1) picture for each type of cloud.
