Elections Timeline: Spring 2018

Tuesday, January 23rd: Political Party Declaration of Intent
Political Party Declaration of Intent forms are due January 23rdby 5:00 p.m. in the Student Government Rotunda, located in building 58E. Forms can be found at the rotunda or online at:
Wednesday, January 31st: Party Fair
Party fair will take place during Market Day in the Student Union plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students and candidates are encouraged to attend and meet the different political parties for the upcoming election.
Party chairs must contact the Elections Commissioner to discuss set up.
Candidates are permitted to put up their campaign signage. Please review the campus signage map (located in the Candidate Campaign Packet) to ensure you are following the proper policies and procedures.

Tuesday, February 13th: Candidate Declaration of Intent

Friday, February 16th: Last day to finalize disqualifications
The Elections Commissioner will be contacting those candidates who do not qualify to run in the spring 2018 elections.
Wednesday, February 21st: Student - Candidate Forum
Candidate forum will take place during Market Day in the Student Union plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Candidate forums give students the opportunity to meet with candidates running and speak about their issues and concerns.

Thursday, February 22nd: Presidential Debate
A Presidential Debate will be held at 6:00 p.m.in the Student Union auditorium. Students are encouraged to attend to hear debate on pressing issues by the Presidential Candidates. Candidates will be contacted beforehand to gain an understanding of the debate format.

Tuesday, March 6th First day of Elections
Polling booths will be set from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Library and Student Union. Online voting will be available 24 hours.
Wednesday, March 7h: Second day of Elections
Polling booths will be set from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Library and Student Union. Online voting will be available 24 hours.
Wednesday, March 7th: Elections Results Release
The Elections Results will be released immediately following their tabulation and confirmation by the Office of Elections. The Release will take place in the Student Union plaza.
Thursday, March 8th: Candidate Financial Statements
Candidate Financial Statements are due by 5:00 p.m. in the Student Government Rotunda. All expenses must be declared. Refer to the Policies and Procedures or contact the Elections Commissioner if you have any further questions.
Friday, March 9th : Judicial Complaints & Signage Removal
Any student may file a judicial complaint regarding to the election. Judicial complaints must be filed by 5:00 p.m. in the Student Government Rotunda, with the exception of the Elections Commissioner. For any further questions please contact
