POSITION PURPOSE
This position will provide direct-line fundraising support to the Fund Development Department. The Development Coordinator will provide clerical and administrative support to the departmentand assist with tactical and day-to-day tasks related to the execution of our events and fund development plan. Strong data and event management, time management, customer service and communication skills necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Database Management
  • Maintainand update tracking system for Development team
Donation Management
  • Work with Admin/Operations to prepare and process donations to the organization
  • Ensure donations are properly documented, processed and acknowledged.
  • Solicitation of small, in-kind gifts (calling for in-kind food or raffle gifts, etc. as assigned).
  • Contact local and regional businesses to arrange appointments on behalf of development team as needed.
Administrative support
  • Prepare support information for solicitations
  • Assist with outreach and scheduling of prospects and existing supporters
  • Coordinate mailings with Administration/Operations team- printing, outsourcing,
  • Planning and implementing email/social media appeals
  • Recruitment/confirmation of attendance and all meeting logistics
  • Running status reports on progress toward goals
Marketing/Design
  • Assist with design of monthly newsletter
Event Support
  • Assist with event preparation and wrap up- making copies, preparing packets, general clerical support.
  • Distribute Event marketing materials to area businesses and make direct appeals for engagement
  • Become proficient in organizations online event management system
  • Recruit, manage and support volunteers and serve as on-site leader at all events

All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION& RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Education Level:
Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Years of Related Work Experience :
1-3 years relevant experience in development, event management, administrative support, and/or customer service preferred.
