Builders Can Now Offer HomeKit-Compatible

ORLANDO, Fla.(January 10, 2017) – Kwikset®, America’s number one selling lock brand, now offers homebuilders an Apple® HomeKit™-compatible smart lock that pairs Apple’s smart home technology with trusted Kwikset security features.
Premis is atouchscreen deadbolt that works with Apple HomeKit to provide homebuyers an easy, secure way to control their home security from an iPhone®, iPad® or iPod Touch®. With Premis, homebuyerscanunlock and lock the door using Siri®, while also taking advantage of best-in-class, patented security features unique to Kwikset smart locks, including SecureScreen™ and the latest version of Kwikset SmartKey® security. The smart lock is also easy for homebuilders to install and does not require hard wiring.

Kwikset designed Premis to fit a diverse range of home styles. The smart lock is available in popular finishes, Satin Nickel and Venetian Bronze, to complement home furnishings specified for each new home.
Premis also features the latest version of Kwikset patented SmartKey security. In addition to providing strong resistance against forced entry techniques, passing the most stringent lock-picking standards (UL 437, par 11.6.) and utilizing BumpGuard™ to prevent lock bumping, SmartKey also offers re-key convenience. The re-key feature allows builders to re-key the lock quickly and easily after the job is complete, rendering lost, loaned or unreturned keys useless, and ensuring the safety and security of the new homebuyers.
