  1. Matters Arising:- Praise was feedback on how good Seaview Pharmacy was doing. JB also mention that all pharmacies were now greatly supporting the Surgery and it is much appreciated. JB will feedback to Seaview
  1. Patient Survey – For 1 week in July a Patient Survey was completed by Patients.

Highlights from the survey:-

  • Overall high patient satisfaction with no major concerns
  • 55% would prefer better telephone access to GPs
  • Very good awareness of surgery services
  • Lack of use for online booking and other online services

Action Plan as follows:-

  • Consider extended hours change to meet patient demand for telephone access following survey
  • To promote On-Line Services
  1. On- Line Services – We have a target of 10% which NHS England has set. We are currently at 6.3%. On-line services enable the Patient to order medication online, book appointments, see their test results and see their patient record. We discussed the possibility of a member being here on Flu Clinic day to raise awareness. In House we are signing patients up when they register and if they email in. We also encourage patients when they come to the desk. Keith so very positive about the service and encouraged the group all to sign up. Members suggested to email all the Parish Councils, Library and Warburton’s.
  1. Staff Update – Chris, ANP, is due to retire in August this year. The Practice has decided to trail a 6 month period of review before looking at advertising this post. The rest of surgery is now stable and the movement that we were experiencing in the reception staff and Practice Nurse Team has now settled. We do have a new registrar called Dr Monks who will be with us for 18 months
  1. Open Forum – Jim made comment how the hospital services are falling short. Jo showed the members the website and contact details for PALs. Jim also requested paper towels for when PT have their ears syringed as the plastic ones make the water run off on to the PT. Tricia asked the Pharmacy details could be uploaded to our TV screens in the waiting rooms. Jo will look into this and feedback at the next meeting.

Next Meeting 26th October at 6pm
