BI ANNUAL REPORT OF ABPS,ADITYAPURAM (APR-SEPT 2012)
The ABPS, Adityapuram’s new session commenced on 19th March 2012 with the summer timings coming into effect. The usual hub–hub had returned after a small gap and the smiling faces of the students in the corridor could be seen once again.
/ ANNUAL DAY : The session stared with the Annual Day of the school being celebrated on 28th March 2012. School celebrated annual day function on 30.03.12 at ABPS playground. Sh. B.B. Joshi, Executive President, Aditya Cement presided over the function. Functional heads, HOD’s of various departments of Aditya Cement and guests witnessed the cultural programme. Theme based dances; skits and orchestra were the main attractions of the function. Shri B B Joshi gave away the prizes & colours to the students .The Unit Head Shri B B Joshi was the Chief Guest .The Primary, Middle and Senior Wing presented a cultural show and the Academic prizes were distributed .The Annual Report of the School was read and the Unit Head addressed the august gathering present at the occasion.
/ ISO : After going into in depth details of the school ,we got the approval of the ISO 9001:2008 certificate. A group of 10 teachers underwent training of Auditors for ISO 9001:2008 certification .The staff members who got the training are: Mr Rajesh Sharma, Mr S K Gupta, Mr Arun Gupta, Ms Arshiya Rehman, Mr B D Solankee ,Mr P Bidawat, Mrs Iti Mathur Mr J Maheshwari ,Mr Vishal Thakur and Mr Jaideep Singh.
/ The School oath taking ceremony took place on 14th July 2012 with Ankit Sharda as the School Head Boy and Nidhi Mundra as School Head Girl
CBSE Board Results: In Class X this year there were a total of 12 students ( 4 Board Based and 8 School based) who got a CGPA of 10.They are i) Arihant Tater ii) Rishi Kumar iii) Apporva Sawant iv) Pankti Agarwal (Board Based) and v) Anakha Sreeram vi) Mohit Bamb vii) Praful Kothari viii) Prashant Kothari ix) Prashant Maghudia x) Shalin Kothari xi) Tanupriya Gupta and xii) Vidushi Sharma (School Based) .
/ Fire safety department of Aditya Cement organized a live demonstration on Fire Safety in our school. Fire safety officer, Mr. Daljeet Singh delivered a lecture on various types of fire fighting equipments and stated measures to prevent fire. He also gave a live demo on the use of fire extinguishers in case of any emergency. He told about different categories of fire: Class – A (Solid Fire), Class – B (Liquid Fire), Class – C (Gas Fire) like LPG, Hydrogen etc.), Class – D (Metal Fire) like Na, Mg. He also told about non categorized Class – E (Electrical Fire). He also demonstrated and made some of our teachers to extinguish fire with extinguishers containing CO2, DCP (Dry Chemical Powder).
A written quiz competition (for classes IX-XII) and a Poster Making competition (for classes VI-VIII) was also organized by Fire Safety department of Aditya Cement works. Later the prizes were distributed to the winners in the school assembly.
/ Two of our students participated in Reach-a-peak, an online Mega Competition conducted by Pathshala Masti an Educational Portal in which Yashaswi B. Solankee class X B won a Laptop in an online exam by standing amongst the first ten rank holders where more than 10,000 students across the country participated
/ International fame Genius Book of world records holder, Mathematician Mohd Faisal paid a visit to the school and gave a demonstration on how to solve mathematical problems quickly and correctly .
/ A parasailing demonstration and participation programme was conducted in the school for four days . A good number of students participated in this activity which was organised by the Air Force Adventure School,Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The School organized a Book Exhibition on Swami Vivekananda to commemorate his 150th birth anniversary on his life and teachings .
Seven students from class XII got selected in the Engineering stream after qualifying in various competitive exams. They are : Suchita Mishra (doing IT from CTI,Udaipur) ,Pooja (doing Computer Science Engineering from Ajmer Girls College),Shipra (doing IT from Ajmer Girls College), Ashwini Solankee (doing Textile Technology from MLV Textile and Engineering College, Bhilwara, Saransh Sharma and Ravindra Singh Chauhan(doing Electrical and Communication from Gitanjli Engineering College, Udaipur). Mahendra Pratap Singh qualified for the written paper of AFMC .In the Commerce stream two students have cleared the CPT namely Ashita Sharma and Sejal Toshniwal and are pursuing further studies for CA at Ahmedabad. Bhavya Dehlawat is pursuing his B Com from Mumbai University while Malvika Mathur is doing Bachelors course in Journalism and Mass Communication from Jaipur.
Master Dishant Kulwal got selected at IIM ,Indore for five year Business Administration Integrated course .
/ Ms Shivani Maheshwari gave her presentation at the FM Channel of Chittorgarh by presenting her three self composed poems in Hindi
Infrastructure Development : The school parking stand has been extended thereby facilitating the parking of staff members. The school office bears a new look with the renovation work being done. The school has been equipped with the New laptop and a new Projector which will facilitate the students in teaching.
/ Extra Curricular Activities : The School organized a two day Yog Shiver for the students from class III and above which was hosted by Mr Vivek Upadjhaya(Yog Guru) from Patanjali Institute.
/ NCC ARMY WING:It gives me immense pleasure to announce that the NCC Headquarters have finally approved the Aditya Birla Public School,Adityapuram to carry out the NCC Army Wing Junior Division activities for 50 students .Initially 25 students from class IX have been enrolled and in the next academic year another 25 students will be enrolled.
/ The school organised a SPICMACAY program on 7th September 2012 where a scintillating performance was given by Dr Neena Prasad in Mohiniattam dance. Various forms of non verbal communication and different poses of dance forms were presented for the school students.
/ WORKSHOPS in the school :The Aditya Cement ,Adityapuram organized the Fire Safety week and the personnels from the plant gave a vivid account to the students from class VI to XII about the various fire fighting equipments and how to prevent fire.
Mr.Anjani Sharma ,Dy GM from the Safety Department gave a very knowledgeable presentation to the students of classes IX to XII about the Safety issues related to our day to day lives .
/ Dr.(Mrs) Megha Sharma,Director,Health and Nutrition , from Geetanjali Medical College conducted a workshop on Awareness amongst students about Nutrition and good health for the whole school She also dealt in detail about the problems of Adolescent age and corrective measures to remove them. She insisted the students to take healthy food.
Career Counselling
/ School has been organising career counselling sessions for the students.In this regard a counsellor was invited from AIDA Jaipur, who gave a talk to the students of class XI XII on Careers in Aviation industries
INTER SCHOOL COMPETITIONS :
Olympiads
/ The ABPS ,Adityapuram successfully organized two Inter School competitions viz. Inter School Dance and Inter School Painting competition. Our students have done reasonably well in these competitions.
In the various Olympiads which are being conducted in Science,Mathematics,Geography and English three of our students viz Master Kaustubh Nair,Master Rishabh Naulakha and Master Nayan Choudhary qualified for the National level Geography Olympiad held at Kota and Master Nayan Choudhary stood third in this national event and won a Bronze medal. The school also got the trophy for maximum number of participants for the Olympiads.
Dance
/ Inter school Dance competition was organized by ABPS, Adityapuram at ABPS ground. Five schools namely Birla shiksha Kendra, Central Academy, Noble International School, ABPS Khor & ABPS Adityapuram participated in it. In the Junior group ABPS Khor and in the Senior group ABPS Adityapuram were declared as the winners. ABPS Adityapuram won the Running trophy.
Hindi
/ The School team participated in various competitions held on the occasion of Hindi Diwas at Birla Shiksha Kendra, Chittorgarh and won the Championship Trophy there. Master Rishabh Naulakha won 1st prize in individual Hindi poetry recitation competition and Miss priyanshi Maheshwari secured 2nd position in Sanskrit stuti Gayan.
Art
/ An Inter School Art competition was organised by our school in which five schools of Chittorgarh district participated. In Jr. Group (V-VII), Hardik Gupta Clas VIII A gained III position and II position by Ravi Kushwaha. Over all trophy was won by ABPS Adityapuram in Jr. Group.
English debate
/ An Inter School English Debate was organised on 8th Sep tember 2012.Five schools from Chittorgarh and Neemuch participated in it. ABPS, Adityapuram and Birla Shiksha Kendra were joint winners.
Table Tennis
/ Our School’s four Table Tennis Teams participated in CBSE cluster X held at MPS Ajmer. All four teams reached up to quarter finals. Master Himanshu Pratap Singh played in the Semi finals in Boys Under 16 category.
/ The School organised Inter School Table Tennis tournament and it gives me great pleasure to announce that the School won the over all Boys Table Tennis Trophy and amongst girls we were the runners up. A total of six schools participated from Chittiorgarh and adjoining areas.
/ PHILANTROPHIC ACTIVITY : With whole hearted support from the students ,the school collected nearly sixty one thousand rupees for the Cancer patients and the amount was paid to the Caring Souls Foundation ,Lucknow for the prevention and cure for the Cancer patients in our country and helping the underprivileged children.
WORKSHOPS :The following staff members attended the workshop from the School .Mrs Anjali Sood and Mrs Sarika Sancheti attended a two days workshop at Mathura for teaching of Hindi.
Mr Rajneesh Bhardwaj attended a one day workshop at Bhilwara for the revised syllabus in Business studies and Accountancy.
Two staff members viz Ms Archana Sahrma and Mr S L Rai attended a workshop for teaching in English at PFRS,Mathura.
/ Plantation Activity for class XII : The students of class XII planted one plant each thereby taking an oath that they will conserve and preserve our environment.
Teacherds’ Day Celebrations
/ On 5th September teachers day was celebrated with all joy and festivity. Senior students acted as teachers conducting assembly and there after taking classes by 9 am. Thereafter, all students moved to USRC where a beautiful cultural programme was presented. President ABPS Adityapuram Mr B B Joshi addressed the teaching staff.
Hindi Diwas Celebrations
/ Every year 14th September is celebrated as Hindi Diwas. In our school also the Hindi department put up an exhibition which was inaugurated by the Principal ,containing the collection of poems and write ups collected by the children,. On this day itself, Hindi books were exhibited in the library also.
/ Our School students participated in the Regional Science Exhibition held at Jaipur .Two Projects were presented by our school students where one of the Science projects has been shortlisted for the National Science Exhibition to be presented at New Delhi on 30th and 31st October,2012.
/ Picture Composition and colouring: A Picture composition and colouring Competition was organized on 7, April 2012, in which students of classes Nursery to II participated enthusiastically.
Poster Making : A Poster making Competition was organized on 7, April 2012, for classes III to V.
/ Puppet Making Activity : Puppet Making activity for group A, Students of (classes Nursery to II ) participated.
/ Summer Day Celebration:
Summer day celebration was organized for classes Nursery to II. Children of the same classes were present in summer outfits and they quenched their thirst with Rasna drink which was served to all. At the end a Photo Session was held at the school lawns.
/ Handwriting Competition:
Students of group B (for classes III to V) participated in Handwriting Competition.
/ Rangoli Competition:
Group of 4 Students from every house for classes VI to VIII participated in Rangoli competition. Students were very excited to participate in Rangoli competition and every one appreciated their creativity
/ Salad Making Competition:
A Salad Making Competition was organized on 28, April 2012, in which students of VI to VIII participated. Students used seasonal fruits and vegetables and they presented it in a very beautiful manner. The judges and teachers were very impressed. Importance of eating green vegetables and salad was told to the students and the school children were made aware about the healthy food habits.
/ The School celebrated the 66th Independence Day on August 15., In the School. the school President Shri B B Joshi hoisted the National Flag. A cultural program was held in USRC where the Unit Head made an inspiring speech. He honoured. meritorious students and also honoured our two staff members Mr. Suresh Patil and Mr. B.D Solankee for completing 15 years of service with dedication and commitment in the school.
Activities of Tiny tots / Every Saturday is a day of activities for our tiny tots. A number of activities as per schedule such as Frog/Rabbit Race, Zig-Zag Race, Kho-Kho, Powder Race, Beading race, Rakhi making, salad decoration , mask making, gift packing etc, are conducted with zest and zeal by our tiny tots. /
