Fed Stats
FedStats, which has been available to the public since 1997, provides access to the full range of official statistical information produced by the Federal Government without having to know in advance which Federal agency produces which particular statistic. With convenient searching and linking capabilities to more than 100 agencies that provide data and trend information on such topics as economic and population trends, crime, education, health care, aviation safety, energy use, farm production and more, FedStats is your one location for access to the full breadth of Federal statistical information.
Statistical Abstracts of the United States
The Statistical Abstract of the United States, published since 1878, is the authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. Use the Abstract as a convenient volume for statistical reference, and as a guide to sources of more information both in print and on the WebSources of data include the Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis, and many other Federal agencies and private organizations.
Labor Statistics (NEW)
The Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor is the principal Federal agency responsible for measuring labor market activity, working conditions, and price changes in the economy. Its mission is to collect, analyze, and disseminate essential economic information to support public and private decision-making. As an independent statistical agency, BLS serves its diverse user communities by providing products and services that are objective, timely, accurate, and relevant.

OFFSTATS
The OFFSTATS database provides access to free statistics from official sources on the web.
Web links are arranged by country, region or subject. The database can be searched by a single category, or a combination of categories.
All of the content of the database is held in the public domain and is available through the Internet. Obtain current and historical trade-related releases, international market research, trade opportunities, country analysis, and our trade library...the National Trade Data Bank (NTDB).
Economic Census (NEW)
The economic census provides a detailed portrait of the United States' economy once every five years, from the national to the local level. The 2007 Economic Census covers most of the U.S. economy in its basic collection of establishment statistics. There also are several related programs, including statistics on minority-and women-owned businesses. Censuses of agriculture and governments are conducted at the same time. Statistics Indicators on Men and Women
This web site provides the latest statistics and indicators on women and men in six specific fields of concern: population, women and men in families, health, education, work and political decision making. The statistics and indicators refer to the latest year for which sex-disaggregated data are available. The data have been compiled from official national sources as well as international sources. All sources are given at the end of each table, as are technical notes on the indicators presented. Detailed analyses of key statistics and indicators on women and men are regularly published in The World’s Women reports. This database offers statistics on population, families, health, education, work, and political decision making in relation to gender.
Demographic and Social Statistics
This database concerns itself with: size and structure of the population, births, deaths and migrations; social security and welfare; distribution of income and consumption – wealth and poverty; health and human functioning; housing; education; economic activity; and allocation of time and time use.
United Nations Statistics Divisions
The Statistics Division is committed to the advancement of the global statistical system. We compile and disseminate global statistical information, develop standards and norms for statistical activities, and support countries’ efforts to strengthen their national statistical systems. We facilitate the coordination of international statistical activities and support the functioning of the UN Statistical Commission as the apex entity of the global statistical system.
Justice Statistics
The Bureau of Justice Statics is the official database of the U.S. Department of Justice. It offers statistics about: crime and victims; prosecution; the Federal justice system; criminal offenders; law enforcement; courts and sentencing; expenditure and employment; corrections; and the criminal record system.
CIA World Factbook
This reference site is updated biweekly to provide wide-ranging and hard-to-locate information about the background, geography, people, government, economy, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for countries from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. Included among the 271 geographic entries is one for the "World," which incorporates data and other information summarized where possible from the other 270 country listings.
Note – The World Factbook is no longer available in a print edition. The CIA has decided to focus Factbook resources exclusively on the World Wide Web online edition which is updated with new information every two weeks.
Foreign Government Statistics
This comprehensive, database sponsored by the University of Michigan Documents Center, offersstatistics on: constitutions, crime, decolonization, demographics, economics, education, elections, health, human rights, international boundaries, language, law, military, politics, and religion.
Social Indicators (NEW)
Social indicators cover a wide range of subject-matter fields is compiled by the Statistics Division, Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat, from many national and international sources. The indicators consist mainly of the minimum list which has been proposed for follow-up and monitoring implementation of major United Nations conferences on children, population and development, social development and women.
