Mrs. Boyd L. Nielson, 420 North 450 East. Wanted cost of improvement. No complaint.
Job No. 64
Reinhold K. Pawlowski and Mary Ellen Pawlowski, 711 East 1500 South. Mrs. Pawlowski stated that the building inspector required them to purchase 33 feet of additional property before he would issue a building permit as there was not enough property for proposed 560 East Street. 560 East Street has never been opened, but the Pawlowskis will be levied on the extra 33 feet on this Special Improvement District and the Special Lighting District. This is being installed. Mr. Pawlowski stated that he understood they would be given a corner lot allowance also. The extra land added to cost. Asking for adjustment on cost of asphalt and concrete work.
Harry C. Dees, property at 700 East 1500 South. Asked for cost. No complaint.
Job No. 77
Vernon Partridge, 391 South 650 East. Asked for corner lot adjustment. Contractor did work on both streets at same time.
Elvin L. Hancock, 395 South 400 East. Asking for corner lot allowance. Was assessed on 400 East for curb, gutter and sidewalk, District C; also, on Special Lighting District No. 5. (Corner lot allowance has been given on curb, gutter and sidewalk.)
Leland Prestwich, 735 East 400 South. Assessed on 800 east for asphalt, District E. No payment made. Protesting paying interest. Assessed for lighting on lots in Special Lighting District 5. This is paid. Claims others use street more than he does. Doesn't see why sidewalk was installed. Feels has been charged too much for special improvements.
Meeting adjourned.
