Assessment for HOSTEL Leader

IntrodUction

For each Leader Level there is a maximum possible score shown and a pass score shown. Only leaders scoring below the pass score will need to be referred for further assessment. Referral may only be necessary for one area of the assessment, and not the whole thing. i.e. somebody may be excellent in most areas of their assessment, but scoring 3 or less in cat 2(b) means they may need to demonstrate deeper activity planning before we can sign them off.

Please reference the Hostel Leaders manual and Event Checklist through this assessment.

How to score:

  1. No evidence of competence
  2. Serious lack of competence which would compromise safety or viability of the event
  3. Some aspects satisfactory but not competent to ensure the safety and viability of the event.
  4. Competence demonstrated in most aspects and a good overall standard
  5. Competence demonstrated in all aspects and an excellent example

Please add notes in the ‘Observations’ space if appropriate.
