FAFSA
Free Application For Federal Student Aid. This is used for all federal and state student grants, work study, and loans. This form can be accessed from www.FAFSA.ed.gov. You should never have to pay anything to apply with this form. Customer service web site is 1-800-4-fed-aid.
Idaho Minority and At-Risk Student Scholarship
Students are selected on the basis of academic merit and financial need. This form can be accessed from www.FAFSA.ed.gov Contact the financial aid office at the college or university you plan to attend for further information. .
Idaho Promise Scholarship
If you have a 3.0 grade point average or better or have an ACT score of 20 or better and are planning on attending an Idaho school as a full time student you will receive this scholarship. Some schools require a separate application for scholarships. Check with the school!!!
WUE/Western Undergraduate Exchange
Awards help reduce/pay out of state tuition. Check website at www.wiche.edu/sep/wue for participating schools and majors that allow the WUE.

Dave Kludt-ALC Natural Resource 2010 Scholarship Fund
The be eligible for the $1,000 award, the student must demonstrate that they are related to an ALC member and planning to attend college or technical school in a field of study that will return them to work in the natural resource arena. Examples of fields of study eligible for this scholarship include: diesel mechanics, truck driving, machine operation, forestry, forestry technician, biology, hydrologist, or law with the intent of practice in natural resource field in defense of logging and forest management. Other related fields of study will be considered. If you qualify applications are available in the counseling office.
Veteran Advocates of Ore-Ida Scholarship this scholarship is available for a dependent of a Family Member who is either/or an Active Duty Military of the U.S. Armed Forces. National Guard, U.S. Military Veteran Honorably Discharged. Under 25 years of age as of 12-01-2009 you are eligible to apply for a $1,000 scholarship for Treasure Valley Community College.
The American Cancer Society

Bob McKinney TVCC Foundation Scholarship Deadline: March 31.2010 The Fruitland Chamber of Commerce Bob McKinney Memorial Scholarship will be awarded based on character, need, leadership, civic and extra curricular activities, academic achievement, and motivation to serve the community. Must plan to enroll full time at Treasure Valley Community College, have a min. GPA of 2.5 and continue to maintain a 2.0 GPA while attending TVCC, two community or educational letters of recommendation, a brief autobiography describing what qualities and activities qualify you for this scholarship. A panel will review the applications and select one award recipient who will receive one Full Tuition Scholarship to TVCC. Attendance at the Bob McKinney Memorial Golf Tournament is mandatory. Payment will be made directly to TVCC each quarter after student registers.

Jim Poore Memorial Scholarship Fund
$1,000 scholarship awarded to high school seniors majoring in the Liberal arts, preferably journalism or writing. Enrolling in any college or university, but preference will be given to those choosing to go to Boise State University or University of Idaho.
Larry J May Hospitality Management Scholarship Fund
For full-time students enrolled in a degree-seeking program related to the hospitality industry, including hotel/lodging, food service/restaurant, entertainment/golf club, resort, and the travel/tourism industries.

Payette-Washington County Board of Realtors Scholarship Deadline: April 1, 2010
Annual scholarship awarded to a high school senior(s) living in the state of Idaho in Washington or Payette County. The major criteria for selecting the recipient is the student’s academic achievement record, leadership responsibilities, community contributions and completed application. An official high school transcript, obtain a signature on the application from a REALTOR acknowledging that they know or have introduced themselves to a realtor in Washington or Payette County. All applications are required to be typewritten.
Idaho School Counselor Association Deadline: April 1, 2010
Any high school senior who is the child or grandchild of an ISCA member may apply for one of the $250 scholarships for study in any field at any accredited institution. Requirements: Letter if support from the ISCA parent or grandparent to the scholarship committee. Personal letter stating career goals, educational plans, and why you should be selected. Interscholastic Star Student Scholarship Deadline: April 1, 2010
Five juniors can win 1,000 dollar scholarship to the college of their choice. You must be nominated and enrolled full time, and be involved in at least one sport and one non-athletic activity such as dance, art, music. Fruitland Education Association Deadline: April 2, 2010
The Fruitland Education Association is a group of administrators, teachers and para-educators that are members of the Idaho Education Association creating a vision where schools are the center of the community and educators and other school employees have the support and resources they need for the future of education. This scholarship is awarded to a Fruitland High school senior who plans to attend an accredited college or university, majoring in academics or a vocational-technical program. Please return the completed application to the Fruitland High School Counseling office. Criteria:
o Letter of recommendation from a community member. MAY NOT be a family member/relative or someone related to a Fruitland School District employee.
o Letter of recommendation from a teacher.
o Typed Essay: In your essay, address your community activities, your extra-curricular activities, and your academic plans to further your educational and career goals.
Fruitland Booster Club Scholarship Deadline: April 7, 2010
The booster will be awarding 6 scholarships of $500 each to FHS seniors who plan to attend an accredited college or university, or technical school. To Maintain Fairness all Applicants will be given a number instead of using names.
American Business Women’s Association Deadline: April 15, 2010
Five rivers charter chapter of the American business women’s association. Late applications will not be considered. The application must include three letters of reference, an official transcript, and a personal profile.
4 - $500 Scholarships
· No member of Five Rivers Charter Chapter, or any relation of a member, is eligible for a local scholarship.
· Must have at least a 3.0 G.P.A.

Farmers Insurance Fraud Awareness Coalition Essay Contest Deadline: April 15, 2010
Three scholarships will be awarded: 1st place, 1,000 2nd place $750.00, 3rd place $250.00. Essay must be 500 words in length on the topic “How fraud impacts Idahoans.” Essays must be typewritten and include a bibliography and cover page identifying the author and contact information. Essays must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2010-for more information stop by the counseling office.
Alexander Hamilton Citizenship Achievement Award Deadline: April 16, 2010
$250 or $500 Scholarship. This award is based on achievement, service given, and need. Must be a junior and have a school official verify student standing and school accreditation.
Weise Family Scholarship Deadline: April 16, 2010
Applicant must attend a college, a vocational-technical program, or other type of training within eight months of graduation or the scholarship will be void. You must return completed application, transcript, prepare a statement of no more than 300 words stating your future objectives in furthering your education, career and life. Billy O’ Dell Construction Company Scholarship Deadline: April 17, 2010
This $1,000 Scholarship is awarded to a student pursuing post-secondary education at a trade, technical, or vocational school. No minimum GPA required. You need to list High School Activities, Awards, & Honors. Work Experience, Community Service, and describe your educational and career goals. Application forms are available in counseling office.
Dr. Chad Clark Memorial Scholarship Deadline April 20, 2010
The Dr. Chad Clark Family has partnered with the Fruitland Dollars for Scholars Chapter to award a $500 scholarship to a Fruitland High School senior graduating in May, 2010. This scholarship is contingent upon the student showing proof of enrollment in a college, vocational program, or other type of certification within eight months of graduation or the scholarship will be void. A committee and ranking system will be used to evaluate applications in the selection process. Write a letter to the committee telling about your involvement and accomplishments at Fruitland High School, educational goals, and career plans.
Dwaine Tesnohlidek FFA Scholarship Deadline: April 20, 2010
The Dwaine Tesnohlidek family has partnered with Fruitland Dollars for Scholars to award a $1,000 scholarship to a Fruitland High School senior. Requirement: A Fruitland Chapter FFA member, based on academics, FFA involvement and extra-curricular activities.
