ARDLEIGH PRACTICE – DEDHAM BRANCH SURGERY
Dedham Vale Community Health Centre, 1 Roman Place, Manningtree Road, Dedham CO7 6 DU
Telephone 01206 322290
We are pleased to provide general practice services from the Dedham Vale Community Health Centre.
We are providing four GP surgery sessions per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning. Nurse Practitioner Joy Harrison together with Assistant Practitioner, Jan Burgess, will provide sessions on a Mondaymorning and afternoon. The Practice Nurse, Tanya Holben, a session on Wednesday morning and Phlebotomist Lisa Sotheron a session on Tuesday morning.
The surgery opening hours will be 8.30 am - 1 pm, 2 pm – 6 pmMonday and 8.30 am – 1 pmTuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
All of the Ardleigh Surgery GPs will undertake a surgery session at the branch surgery. However, as most of these sessions are using GPs moving their surgery session from the main surgery in Ardleigh, this does mean that some surgery sessions will not be held when a GP or the Nurse Practitioner is on leave.
This does mean that we cannot provide the full range of services that we provide at the main surgery and there will be occasions when the GP or Nurse Practitioner will ask you to make another appointment at the main surgery for further investigation. We also will not be able to provide a routine blood taking service for the time being.
The branch surgery is an integral part of the Ardleigh practice and all patients may attend it. This does mean that patients seeking to see a particular GP on a particular day might be asked to attend the Dedham Surgery rather than Ardleigh Surgery and visa versa. Patients requesting an urgent same day appointment will be requested to attend either surgery. We cannot provide the full range of services that we provide at the main surgery and there will be occasions when the GP or Nurse Practitioner will ask you to make another appointment at the main surgery for further investigation.
There will be no Dispensary in the branch surgery as there is a pharmacy in the village. Dispensing patients issued with an acute prescription will still be able to use the dispensary at the main surgery, if they so wish. However, owing to the limited opening hours we are not providing a collection service for prescriptions or dispensed medicine. The Dedham Pharmacy will continue to collect prescriptions from the Ardleigh Surgery.
Appointments can be made for either Dedham or the Ardleigh surgeries by attending the branch surgery or by telephoning 01206 322290 or the main surgeryon 01206 230224.
