PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLATION

Safety Warning

This product is only suitable for connection to a 240V~50Hz power supply in accordance with current IEE Wiring Regulations and should be installed in accordance with local Building Regulations.

This is not a toy and is designed for adult use only.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Be sure your outlets are capable of handling the voltage this product generates, please consult your electrician if you have any concerns.

This mirror light has an IP44 rating and may be installed in “Zone1 and 2 and Outside Zone” of a Bathroom and the supply circuit protected by a RCD.

1. A shower tray is shown here, a bath has equivalent dimensions.

2. Basins should be regarded as having a 600mm Zone 2 radius above and extending down to the floor.

EMC

Before you start

Ensure that no one else has access that would enable the supply to be inadvertently reconnected. Check the packaging and make sure that you have all the required parts.

Follow each assembly step in order to prevent incorrect assembly.

make sure all screws/nuts, including electrical connections etc are fully tightened before use. This mirror should not be connected to a Dimmer.

This product comes fitted with a mains cable and plug. However, if you require the product to be Installed and hardwired, this can also be achieved by removing the cable and plug and following the Hardwire Installation process outlined below. Any removal or Installation of the mains cable must be carried out by a registered and competent electrician.

The Light pack contains:

IP 44 rated wall mirror.

Self infrared sensor switch

Full size demister pad

The following tools may be required:

Selection of cross and flat head screwdrivers.

Electric drill and assorted drill bits.

Wire strippers.

Electrical insulation tape.

INSTALLATION PROCESS

1. Decide on the position of the mirror light. Ensure there is a solid mounting surface,

Preferably a brick or block wall and ensure that there are no cables or pipes beneath

the surface. If the wall is timber frame and Plasterboard then please use appropriate fixings.

Ensure the fixings used can support the weight of the mirror

2. Lay the mirror front from its back housing by removing the screws at either side of mirror.

3. Remove the four screws of each side mirror panels, along with the metal and white and spacer

From the back box using a Philips screwdriver, as shown in diagram1.

4. Carefully lift the side mirror panels off and position it onto a flat soft surface to avoid scratching the mirror, as shown in diagram2.

5.Mark the position of the fixing holes in the metal back box on the wall, avoiding any wiring or water pipes as shown in diagram 3.

6.Drill and prepare the holes for the screws, ensuring that the fixing is into a solid material,

Not plasterboard.

7.Mount the metal back box of the cabinet mirror onto the wall and secure tightly.

8.Pierce the small protective IP rated rubber grommet (this is to isolate and trap any steam produced to ensure maximum safety use).

9.Insert a 3-core cable through the pierced hole in the protective cover, then thread the cable through from behind the back box into the power supply, as shown in diagram4.

10.Slide in the glass shelf onto the fitted brackets.

11.Finally switch on the mains electrical supply and activate your new mirror cabinet by placing your hand underneath the sensor switch.

This product is covered by a 2-year warranty for Domestic Use and a 1-year warranty for Commercial Use.

2 YEAR WARRANTY – DOMESTIC USE

This warranty covers faults in the product construction, material and assembly. Products which are within 2 years from the date of purchase, found upon inspection to be defective in construction, material or assembly, will be repaired or exchanged with an equivalent product. Return delivery costs shall be met by the purchaser.

Warranty Conditions

This warranty will apply only under all of the following conditions:

•  The item has been installed for and subjected to domestic residential use only

•  Failure is due to a fault in the manufacture of the product

•  Proof of purchase (including the date of purchase) is provided

•  The installation of the product is in accordance with the instructions provided

This warranty does not include faults caused by:

•  Unsuitable or improper use

•  Incorrect installation or installation not in accordance with the instructions provided

•  Normal wear and tear

•  Inadequate maintenance

•  Chemical, electrical electrochemical or influences

Harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners used

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian consumer law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
