PCI is actively seeking aWindows Engineerto Provide MS Windows OS and Windows Server system engineering and architectural support to the Global Command and Control Systems Air Force (GCCS-AF) at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Research/Analyze the “As Is” state of the GCCS-AF logical and physical Active Directory (AD) forests, domain trees, Organizational Units (OU’s), domains, objects, and trust relationships, and design a new GCCS-AF AD Forest(s) “End State” that consolidates the hierarchical organization of all GCCS-AF users, computers, and other physical/logical resources into a centralized management construct leading to a more manageable architecture that supports the administrative and security objectives of the global GCCS-AF community of stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of software experience
  • Experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desired.
  • MCSE certification desired.
  • Security+ or equivalent certification meets DODI 8570 requirements (within 6 months of hire).
  • Experience evaluating new hardware and software solutions.
  • Demonstrated hands-on MS Windows server systems test/deployment experience working with COTS, IT networking, servers, and network/management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Candidate must have an active US security clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Architect a logical and physical design enabling streamlined software distribution (SCCM, WSUS), and administration of users, groups, policies and Windows workstations in a centralized GCCS-AF Major Command (MAJCOM) based Secret Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNET) environment.
  • Consult with 24 AF/AFCYBER regarding the Standard AF Windows Implementation on AFNET-S, the Air Force Enterprise Configuration Management Office (AFECMO) regarding the Air Force Standard Desktop Configuration (SDC-S), and Standard Server Configurations (AD, SCCM, Etc.) and other external organizations: Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as necessary in the development of the new GCCS-AF domain architecture.
  • Conduct surveys and requirements-analysis for development of the new GCCS-AF AD infrastructure.
  • Present and participate in technical meetings apprising leadership of progress toward project objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation (diagrams, drawings, white papers, presentations, etc.…) as necessary.
  • Develop instructions for moving existing GCCS-AF computers to the new GCCS-AF Air Force/MAJCOM SIPR domain(s) and collapse all legacy GCCS-AF domains.
  • Develop instructions to and assist in PMO testing ensuring Standard Desktop Configuration (SDC) patches, updates, applications, and policies are pushed to GCCS-AF workstations without loss of application functionality.
  • Ensure the Host Based Security System (HBSS) ecosystem infrastructure supports the new GCCS-AF domain architecture, and the Windows 10 baseline.
  • Assist in the implementation and operationalization of the new GCCS-AF AD domain infrastructure.
  • Analyzing requirements and then using integrated software lifecycle management tools to capture and record validated requirements;
  • Assisting customers in requirements prioritization;
  • Leading validation efforts to insure the documented requirements fully satisfy the customer needs and are clear, complete, correct, feasible, necessary, and traceable;
  • Creating an initial requirements baseline and managing changes to that baseline; andResponding to properly vetted, customer identified operational deficiencies;
