The information within this leaflet will help you to help your child.
The Curriculum Map shows the main areas of learning that your child will undertake during the forthcoming term.
The Class Timetable will enable you to talk to your child about their school day!
This is what we will be teaching through our creative curriculum / This half term will focus on children learning about themselves and their surroundings in the topic of ‘All about me'.The Science unit will be ‘Animals including humans’. Through this unit children will learn about their senses and how they can use them to explore the world around them. They also learn that humans and other animals move and grow.
Topic will include a range of subjects such as geography, art and even maths! Children will have experience in map making, discovering features of the local area and be introduced to a range of measuring techniques using both standard and non-standard units.
Through our RE lessons this ½ term the children will cover the following. Do try and attend your child’s class Mass / Creation:The unit is designed to develop children’s appreciation of themselves and the world around them as part of God’s creation. It also helps the children to reflect on the need to thank and praise God for his many gifts.
Family and Celebrations:This unit is designed to develop children’s knowledge and understanding of what it means to belong to, and celebrate as, a family. The unit will focus on the Mass, stories of the Presentation and the Wedding Feast at Cana as important celebrations in the life of Jesus and the church.
