ACCREDITATION CRITERIA

All applicants must comply with the criteria listed below.

Printed Media:

·  The usual minimum circulation for a national weekly or monthly publication is 20,000 copies. For a national daily the minimum circulation is 50,000 copies.

Photographers:

·  Photographers’ applications must follow the same criteria as stated above. Publications or agencies applying for single round accreditation must supply evidence of independent coverage of a minimum of 5 pictures relevant to the event. Photographers that have attended rounds of the World Endurance Championship during the 2016 season must supply evidence of independent coverage of those rounds.

·  Freelance photographers must apply for credentials via their own agencies/media. The onus is on the freelance applicant to prove the regular supply of photos to more than one publication corresponding to the WEC accreditation criteria. Photo agencies must be able to prove that the pictures have been regularly sold to publications meeting the WEC accreditation criteria. A publication must be able to prove that the pictures published are the original work of the publication’s accredited photographer.

·  Photographers not complying with the above criteria (promotional and/or commercial photographers) must apply for accreditation to WEC Management.

Websites:

·  Only sites which are regularly maintained and contain editorial content relevant to the Championship will be considered. Coverage from previous rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship must be provided as above.

·  The origin of images used on the site must be clearly shown.

The FIA WEC Media Department considers the media pass to be a working tool to be used only by bona fide members of the press. Publishers, marketing personnel, sub-editors, staff of the publication’s secretariat, etc. cannot be accredited as media.
