A BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 5723810 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE PORTION OF ROADSIDE VEGETATION OF INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 85 IN ANDERSON AND OCONEE COUNTIES MAY BE MOWED BEYOND THIRTY FEET FROM THE PAVEMENT.
Amend Title To Conform
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION1.Article 17, Chapter 23, Title 57 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
“Section 5723810.Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 5723800, or any other provision of law, the Department of Transportation may mow beyond thirty feet from the pavement roadside vegetation adjacent to Interstate Highway 85 in Anderson, Greenville, Newberry, and Spartanburg Counties, and adjacent to Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County.”
SECTION2.This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
