Job Title:PROGRAMME CO-ORDINATOR
Hours:32 hours per week
Salary:£19,395.00 pro rata at pay scale 2.2

key responsibilities
- To co-ordinate the delivery of the Urban Arts Space programme across CYN, including the administration of courses, supporting tutors, managing equipment, promoting the programme and setting up outreach sessions.
- Organise and facilitate showcasing opportunities both in-house and outreach for the UAS programme and station exhibitions.
- To co-ordinate Urban Arts Space volunteers and assistants supporting the delivery of the programme.
- To monitor and support the delivery of the arts award accreditation on the Urban Arts Space programme.
Work demands
Thepostholder:
- Operates with a considerable degree of autonomy but makes decisions within a framework set by a more senior member of staff.
- Operates with high degree of judgement and decision making, referring to a line manager for guidance on major issues.
- Has a variety of tasks are involved, some of which are of a complex nature and will involve contributing to the development of the project.
- Has contact is mainly within the organisation but may include frequent communications with external organisations.
Expertise:
The post requires:
- A thorough knowledge of the subject area which may well be in a specialist area and previous relevant experience is also required.
- A good standard of education and/or a professional qualification would be an advantage or is some cases is required.
REsponsibility for users
The postholder is:
- Responsible for the physical, mental and social well being of the Urban Arts Space programmeusers whilst being fairly autonomous but under the guidance of a line manager.
REsponsibility for REsources
The post has:
- A role in the safe keeping of physical resources within a project including equipment used in sessions and for showcases.
- A responsibility to co-ordinate the room bookings for the Urban Arts Space programme across The Station and Kingswood Estate.
REsponsibility for Employees,trainees and volunteers
The postholder is:
- Responsible for the satisfactory work performance of the Urban Arts Space tutors and volunteers.
- Responsible for co-ordinating a rota of volunteers and assistants on the Urban Arts Space programme.
Mental Effort
The postholder will:
- Require a regular level of mental effort.
- Keep records, analyse simple data and independently produce occasional reports or other documentation.

The post:
- Requires a low level of physical effort on an ad-hoc basis.
working conditions
The post requires:
- Occasional work within challenging users and/or unsocial hours.
Terms and conditions
- The role will be based between The Station and the Kingswood Estate.
- Hours can be worked flexibly over the week with agreement from the Line Manager.
- The postholder will adhere to all CYN work and equal opportunities policies.
- The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- 25 days of holiday per year excluding 8 bank holidays pro rata.
- Probationary period of 6 months.
