This job description sets out the scope of the role ofFinance director, together with the main duties of the post at the date when it was completed. It does not include or define all tasks which the post holder may be expected to carry out. Duties may vary from time to time without changing the nature of the post or the level of responsibility. 3.Scope of role

This is a strategic position overseeing and driving all company financial aspects for the UK and Australia, ensuringthe provision and accuracy of timely financial management information to improve business intelligence and drive informed decision making. To effectively manage and be responsible for the flow of financial information to internal stakeholders upto board level and external parties where necessary.

4.Main responsibilities

4.1KPIs and reports

  • To formulate financial targets and budgets in accordance with company strategy
  • To formulate headcount targets in accordance with company capacity and strategy to enable growth
  • To manage the production and delivery of the monthly management accounts and board pack to the board.

4.2Client focus

  • To feed into creation of the creation of the company strategy from a finance perspective
  • To create and implement an overall strategy for the financial year, in alignment with the company strategy
  • To maintain overall control of the company’s accounting function and all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems
  • To continually monitor business performance, flagging and proposing solutions for, any elements of concern
  • . To maintain control of the company’s Working Capital.
  • To manage relationships with Auditors, Solicitors, HMRC, Bank and Insureres.

4.3Analytical and technical

  • To prepare and manage the annual budget for the company
  • To support the commercial team in a number of areas, including RFPs, contracts, reconciliation, targets, commission planning, pricing, authorisation of discounts
  • To provide financial planning, budgeting and related on-going advice for senior management across the company, and their respective teams enabling them to fully understand their achievement against targets
  • To ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding the company’s financial affairs

4.4Best practice and organisation

  • To assist the commercial director in implementing robust processes and procedures to effectively manage and measure sales force activity and effectiveness
  • To manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions
  • To ensure company financial processes are adhered to at all times
  • To recommend and test new processes as necessary to improve Fresh Egg effectiveness and efficiency including the continual improvement of the month end management accounting process.
  • To take ownership of agreed personal and department objectives, department strategy and specific projects
  • To foster a culture of professionalism and excellence across Fresh Egg

4.5Line Management

  • To agree a vision and set of principles for the team plan. To communicate this throughout the wider team in order that all staff understand the purpose and importance of what they do and how they fit into the wider company goals
  • To carry out all day to day elements to include hiring, appraisals, 121 meetings, team meetings, personal development plans, identifying training needs and performance management
  • To ensure that the managing director and HR is kept informed of staff matters and regularly updated on employee performance and development

5.Key skills and experience

•Degree-level education

•Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification

•Significant experience in finance, with at least five years in senior management

•Experience of managing professional staff

•Knowledge of the digital industry is advantageous

•Organisational skills

•Expectation management

•Excellent Communication skills along with negotiating and influencing skills

•Time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and understand client and agency demands and deadlines.
