EPS Utilisation Progress Review

XXXXXXXX CCG

This is an example of a progress review report produced to reflect the success of an EPS Utilisation Workshop. If you would like to produce something similar after your event, the statisticscan be found on the NHS Digital’s website:

  1. Background

This CCG was one of the first to go-live with EPS and switched on 11% or 5 out of 45 practices in late 2011 to early 2012.

A year after the first practices went live, gradual roll-out of EPS was extended throughout the CCG and by August 2014, 93% or 42 out of 45 practices were using the service. At the same time, feedback from end users suggested a number of issues had arisen since go-live at many sites. These included issues such as staff turnover, incomplete knowledge of the service and the availability of supporting tools and resources.

  1. Utilisation activities

One-day utilisationworkshop held in August 2014 with the aimof improving operational knowledge in order to increase usage across the area.

3. Statistics

Below is a summary of the change in usage trends within the CCG since work to improve utilisation took place:

  • Overall utilisation for the CCG increased by 9% from 27% to 36% since August 2014. The graph shows the trend over time.

5. Next steps

  • For low – medium performing sites, supplement utilisation workshop events with individual utilisation site visits.
  • Review and report changes in CCG usage, three or more months after the utilisation workshop.
  • Consider what further actions could be taken.
