On Joint Motion of All Councilmembers Present, the Following Resolution Was Offered As Amended

On joint motion of all Councilmembers present, the following resolution was offered as amended:

RESOLUTION NO. 119475

A resolution granting permission to St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 6017 Camphor St, Metairie, LA 70003 represented by Toni Dickerson, to hold a Craft Fair on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., and on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 6017 Camphor, Metairie, LA 70003 to sell crafts, food and refreshments, and to erect booths, and canopies provided permits are obtained from the Department of Citizens’ Affairs and the Jefferson Parish Health Department and that all requirements of said departments are met. They are also granted permission to install temporary signs on Parish Property, a 4’x8’ sign on the center median on West Napoleon at Airline Park Boulevard, West Napoleon and David Drive, and Transcontinental and Camphor, starting on September 28, 2012 until October 13, 2012, also small signs can be placed on David Drive, Transcontinental, West Metairie, and West Napoleon Starting October 10, 2012 until October 13, 2012. These signs should be installed without obstructing view of traffic. All taxes in connection with the Craft Fair are hereby waived.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Jefferson Parish Council of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, acting as governing authority of said Parish:

SECTION 1. That permission is hereby granted to to St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 6017 Camphor St, Metairie, LA 70003 represented by Toni Dickerson, to hold a Craft Fair on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., and on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 6017 Camphor, Metairie, LA 70003 to sell crafts, food and refreshments, and to erect booths, and canopies provided permits are obtained from the Department of Citizens’ Affairs and the Jefferson Parish Health Department and that all requirements of said departments are met. SECTION 2. That this permission is granted provided that permits are obtained from the Department of Citizens' Affairs, and the Jefferson Parish Health Department and that all requirements of said departments are met.

SECTION 3. That all taxes are hereby waived in connection with said event.

SECTION 4. The proceeds from said craft fair will go to Church Mission Projects.

SECTION 5. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Toni Dickerson, 6017 Camphor, Metairie, LA 70003.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
