Dear Coyote Families:
Welcome to what promises to be anotherfantasticschool year at Coddle Creek! I am incredibly excited about my second year here at Coddle Creek, and know that it promises to be filled with even more golden opportunities for all of our students as we strive to find ways that we can be even better than we have before! As we begin this new year, we pledge to you . . . our students and parents . . . that this will be a wonderful year of engaging, meaningful, global and rigorous work in our classrooms, along with some fun and special times.
During this 2016 - 2017 school year, we will continue to build upon and refine our foundation of good work while we implement the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme here at CCE! Your child will receive a transdisciplinary education that focuses on inquiry, collaboration and exploration. Also, Spanish classes will begin for all of our K-5 students. We plan to host many curriculum nights to help as we transition to a PYP school.
We look forward to a very positive and productive year together! And we extend a special, yearlong invitation to our parents to join us at school activities and events whenever you can. We want . . . we need . . . and we value your involvement and support in your child’s education! For it is key to the success of your young Coyote during their time with us at CCE.
Please also know that we highly value home/school communication here at Coddle Creek. It is vital and plays an integral role in each student’s success. Please do not hesitate to contact us if/when the need arises. We will do likewise. We want and encourage our parents tostay in the knowabout their child’s studies, assignments, assessments, and school activities, as well as other events and happenings through our newsletters, Facebook and our website.
Again, we welcome you to Coddle Creek and to our wonderful professional learning community . . . a place alive with muchenergy. . .enthusiasm. . . and ahigh standard of excellence! It is, indeed, a place where opportunities abound! Here’s to an AWESOME new school year. I can’t wait to see you at Open House on August 23rd from 4-6 pm, drop in. Postcards will be sent home in a few weeks that has your child’s teacher on it. See you soon!
