EMM9 Chair, Mr. Masayuki Naoshima, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan, to welcome Ministers and other participants, highlight key energy issues the region is facing, and invite Ministers to approve the EMM9 agenda and program.

- Resource potential of biofuels and unconventional gas
- Cooperation in oil and gas data collection
- Energy trade and investment including energy aspects of the EGS
