RE: Notational Ballot for WEQ EC members and Alternates

DATE: January 27, 2009

Dear WEQ Executive Committee Members and Alternates to be seated for absent EC members,

On January 27, 2009 the WEQ EC members or alternates seated for absent WEQ EC members voted on one item. If you did not attend either in person or by phone, please send in your ballot by end of business February 10, 2009 to ensure your voice is heard. Feel free to contact your colleagues on the EC who were present for this meeting if you would like their input while you determine your vote.

The recommendation that was discussed and voted upon on January 27, 2009 is:

  1. 2008 AP Item 5(a) – Business Practices to support Demand Response and Demand Side Management and Energy Efficiency Programs (redline version) (clean version) (motions) (super majority vote required for passage).

In voting on the recommended standard, a supermajority vote is required for its adoption by the WEQ EC. As the WEQ EC has 36 seated members, 25 affirmative votes (67%) plus 40% affirmative votes from each WEQ EC segment are required to meet the super-majority threshold. Abstentions are permitted and have the same effect as voting in opposition.

Please feel free to call the NAESB office if you have any difficulty retrieving any of this information or need additional assistance.

Best Regards,

Rae McQuade
