RE:FCIS Workshop Presenters for Friday Faculty Day, November 20, 2009
The FCIS Program committee is seeking innovative workshop proposals for the Friday Faculty Day Sessions on November 20. As this year’s theme indicates, independent schools ARE
special and our teachers are often the reason! Participation in the annual convention is an outstanding opportunity for our faculties to share their expertise and love of teaching.
Teachers from all levels and all curriculum areas are invited to submit proposals for a forty-five
minute presentation.
Presenters are expected to:
Obtain financial support from your school for convention registration, travel and expenses to attend the convention
Book your own hotel reservations.
Make your own travel arrangements
If using hand-outs, bring enough for audience
If LCD projector, laptop computer or SmartBoard is needed for presentation, we ask that you bring your own. All other AV needs, such as screens, standard overhead projectors, TV’s with VCR’s and DVD players will be provided if requested.
Please encourage your staff members to take advantage of this unique opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas to other FCIS faculty. Please distribute proposal forms to any of your faculty members who may be interested in presenting. This form can also be found on the FCIS website ( and locate Convention information). We are looking forward to a great response!
Proposal forms are to be returned via email or fax by Wednesday, March 25, 2009,to the Friday program chairpersons:
