CL:Good morning, Caroline Lo.
PC:Hi, Caroline, it’sPattie. I’ve got the information about flights to China for you.
CL:Good, are there any flights available from Manchester to Shanghai on the 19th?
PC:Yes, there are. There is one flight at 7.45 and a later one at 14.30.
CL:Are they both operated by the same airline?
PC:No they aren’t, the earlier one is operated by KLM via Amsterdam and the afternoon one is operated by Turkish Airlines via Istanbul.
CL:Which flight is the cheapest?
PC:They’re both the same: £750 return, but there is a special offer from London to Guangzhou for £650.
CL:That’s much cheaper, but is that flight direct?
PC:No, it isn’t; it’s with Emirates via Dubai.
CL:How long does the Emirates flight take?
PC:24 hours and 45 minutes.
CL:And KLM and Turkish Airlines?
PC:The KLM flight takes 13 hours 30 minutes and the Turkish Airlines one 21 hours 35 minutes.
CL:So, the Emirates flight is cheaper, but it takes much longer.
PC:Yes, I think KLM is the best option. It’s a bit more expensive than Emirates, but it’s faster because the stopover in Amsterdam is very short.
CL:And KLM is as reliable as the other airlines you mentioned.
