REPLACEMENTS LTD PAC LGBT VOTER GUIDE
Early Voting, March 3 – 12
Primary Election – March 15
The primary purpose of the REPLACEMENTS LTD PAC is to influence the election of local, state and national candidates who will best support and promote the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) citizens. In addition, consideration is given to a candidate’s past and current positions on issues supporting the business and social interests of Replacements, Ltd. (which includes fostering an open community in which all individuals are free to participate and serve without discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity) and the strategic viability of the candidate.
Data about candidates is obtained through survey responses, conversations with candidates and information about the candidate in the public domain.
The REPLACEMENTS LTD PAC has endorsed some Republican candidates. However, we are cautious because the NC Republican Party Platform is opposed to LGBT equality. We recognize that not all Republicans share this attitude.
2015 North Carolina Republican Party Platform
-We believe that marriage, as the union of one man and one woman must be upheld as the national standard.
-We support the marriage amendment as part of the North Carolina Constitution and encourage all efforts to defend it.
-Public schools should not be used to teach children about homosexual behavior.

Frequently Asked Questions About
New Voter ID Laws (www.NCVoter.org)
Do I need an ID to vote?
The ID requirements are being challenged in court; to be safe, be prepared to show an “acceptable photo ID” to vote inside the polling place with a regular ballot.
The acceptable IDs are:
(1) NC driver’s license or DMV-issued ID
(2) US passport
(3) US military or veterans ID card
(4) Member card of a federal or NC recognized Indian tribe
(5) Out-of-state driver’s license, but only if you vote within
90 days of when you first register to vote in NC.
A student ID or government employee ID
is not acceptable.
All polling places are open from
6:30 AM to 7:30 PM on Election Day.
If you are in line at 7:30 PM,
you will be allowed to vote.
