  6. Hockey Club brainstorm- unfortunately we are not AIG, but we do want to help the hockey team payoff the debt that they owe to other schools. -$2656.10, still have $4000 worth of dues to collect. They will be out of the hole and will be able to cover their new jerseys. Some are waiting for Fin Aid to pay it off. They do have $500 in foundation account, they have another group that wants to donate $$$ to them, and would use that to cover the bills. RCC does have some $$ for backup if needed. We want in insure that Hockey is successful and want to see or help the team keep players on the team when it comes to grades. They do have a list of 20 names of potiential players. Try to help hockey host a recruitment event similar to Lacrosse Look to out of state programs as well. Use the off season to start this programs. Will start to look at study groups. Ryan will meet with JT to plan out recruitment event.
  7. SFC appeal- Monday March 1st @ 10:30am. Will is here! We need to make sure that we do not go over 5% overage. Questions about the field reserve and the appeal. The deadline is 5m today. We figured out how to appeal online, but we do not have to be at the meeting. 5 mins if we chose to appeal in person. Our appeal is the $30,000 cut, and the reason they cut it was because Rugby was cut as a club, but rugby was only funded $5000 last year. SFC APPEAL MADE The SFC did come under this years budget. Field reserve. There is $9000 in reserve for the field. In the SFC minutes it is marked as field. We really need it for spring term since our field time has been cut, and we need to reserve time in the stott building. We would need to describe it as a continuance of the rollover, mention in the request that it was described as field reserve. Put in the reserve ASAP and then the chair will find time to schedule us and we can go to the hearing. Possbly get on the agenda during deadweek. We just need to break it down and describe it carefully. The cycling club had $3000 of that in reserve, so $6000 will be for reservations for space.
  8. Debrief from Club Forum- Eddie felt that it was a bummer. It was a laundry list of things you should do for us, there was no solutions for anything other than safety. Maybe we need to better explain what is expected of the students and staff. We need to allow for time to get used to the changes that have been made. The students see the changes as a pushback from the staff. It felt a little like they wanted us to hold their hand and do everything for them. We should work on the things that we have the ability to change. The reason that the RCC members chose not to say anything during the forum, since the climate would have lead to a huge debate. We could go through the handbook and the policies and look at how we may be able to update and review things that went along with their issues. JT thought that we could streamline some issues.
  9. Action items from Club Forum- we will have the follow up forum and the RCC will sit down and go throught the handbook and change what we can. JW has offered to help if she is needed.
  10. RCC election/budget timeline and deadlines- Applications are going tomorrow and it will be promoted on the listserv, it will close on March 29th at 5pm. Budgets due April 9th 5pm.
  11. New budget request form- there is a workshop set for tomorrow that Eddie will be hosting. March 3 we will work on the policies and budget form and give the clubs a full month to get budget done.
  12. Old Business
  13. Water polo funding – JT was looking into it- we have more money to play with and we have made the appeal to the SFC for the field reserve and we will make a decsion after we have the SFC allocation.
