PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

January 2015 – Now: Senior Consultant in a Utilities Company, managing the gas and electricity of the Liège region.

The assignments are the following:

-Ensure the support of the end-users for the new system that went life on March, 1st, 2015 for the gas part, and on November, 1st, 2015, for the electricity part.

-Perform the corrections and the enhancements of the current global solution. This includes the proposal of solutions, the contacts with the business in order to get its approval on those solutions, the functional and technical designs, and the testing of the new programs.

The solution involved the SD, MM, PM, PS, CS and IS-U (Industry Solution – Utilities) SAP modules.

January 2009 – December 2014: Expert Senior Consultant and Project Leader for Total Refining and Marketing.

Expert consultant for the business, to manage and customize system evolutions. This role involved also a major participation in the migration from the SAP version 4.6C to the ECC6 version, and exposure to the IS OIL TSW module.

The main projects performed during this period were:

-Incoming invoices de-materialisation: the aim of the project was to replace the paper invoices sent by post with electronic invoices sent by email.

-Global Monomers optimization project. Full implementation worldwide project of two years. It consisted in re-organizing the monomers department from a business perspective and in automating the associated SAP flows and processes.

Major achievements were the development of a web site (using webdynpro) allowing the traders to enter directly SAP orders for customers and vendors from any place in the world, and the development of a validation strategy through mailing, allowing the management to validate trades via emails and especially from their smartphones.

-Project Leader for the implementation of the distribution flows in Europe of polyethylene produced in Qatar.

-Building of a new SAP application for the Logistics Maritime department, whose aim was to allow the registration of the contracts with the maritime external companies, in order to have this information online to help the sea trading business.

The development was performed in the new SAP ECC6 version.

December 2006 – December 2008: Consultant by Abbott Vascular, specialized in the manufacturing of Vascular Interventions medical devices.

The assignment was to manage and assist specific projects, targeting to the set-up of the SAP system in new country or specific department organisations (Italy, International Head Quarter, Clinical department, …).

The teams to be managed on these projects varied from 4 to 8 people. All projects went life on time without major issues.

May 2006 – November 2006: Consultant by Guidant Corporation. Guidant was a worldwide developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices whose products were used in a broad range of interventional medical specialties.

During that period, Guidant was bought by Boston Scientific and Abbott Corporation.

The main tasks were to provide expertise for some specific projects in the area of the company separation and to ensure a daily support to the users in Europe and Asia in all the SAP modules.

March 2006 – May 2006: Consultant by Chemtura Corporation. Chemtura is a worldwide company that produces plastic additives and special chemical materials.

Support the European and Asian users in their daily tasks in SAP.

Chemtura is a company born from the unification of Crompton and Great Lakes, working with two SAP systems in parallel, with their own rules and processes. Some new processes had to be developed, for contributing to the integration of the two systems.

November 2004 – January 2006: Consultant by Antalis for the Belgian Roll-Out. Antalis is a paper transformer, which produces amongst others paper sheets for printing (all sizes) and envelopes.

This was a full SAP R/3 4.6 implementation, which went life in October 2005. The main SAP modules involved were the SD (LE included), MM and PP modules, as well as the Variant Configuration module, part of the Logistics General.

The main tasks were to manage the development of new flows for the envelopes business, for the selling of paper needing a conversion manufacturing managed by the SAP PP module (“Make-to-order” flows), and the data migration from the legacy system.

April 2004 – October 2004: SD/MM consultant by Total France for the Template Europe Belgian Roll-Out. The objective of the Template Europe project was to reorganize the whole IT system of Total Oil by implementing SAP R/3 in nine countries, following the merge of the Total, Elf and Petrofina companies.

The go-live was performed successfully on June 1st, followed by a post-implementation support phase from the central support department in Paris.

The version implemented was the 4.6c with the IS-Oil Industry Solution.

March 2002 – March 2004: SD consultant at the NAMSA (NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency) for SAP Luxembourg. Full implementation project of the SAP version 4.6c2, for the Logistics department, including the Aerospace and Defence Industry Solution.

The project consisted in setting-up the Supply, Procurement, Maintenance and Transportation, insuring that the Logistics requirements stayed in line with the already installed Financial settings.

September 2003 - December 2003: Short assignment by Sabena Technics, in Zaventem, for the set-up of the Intrastat report, covering the specific needs of the airplane transport business.

January 2001 – November 2001: SD consultant at Arch Chemicals, producing chemical products for the microelectronics industry, located in Antwerp

Implementation of the SAP system in the European countries where Arch had a subsidiary, in particular in Belgium and in Italy.

The configuration covered all the logistics aspects of the business.

May-June 2001: Short assignment by AKZO Nobel Chemicals Holland (division Industrial Coatings Wood in Sassenheim).

Reviewing and improving the existing SAP SD and MM configurations versus the business processes, in order to reduce the high number of mistakes done during order entry for specific processes.

July 1999 – December 2000: Professional Trainees Belux: company founded in April 1999.

Its purpose was to train young people in the IT area, and to place them by customers as junior consultants.

Supervision and management of the Belux office and its employees, and development of the business in agreement with the sales department.

From July 1999 till June 2000: Consultant for PT Belux by Getronics inBrussels (ex-Wang, ex-Olivetti).

Three assignments were achieved:

- Improvement of the helpdesk procedures

- Project Manager for the Switzerland SAP roll-out

- Team Leader for the SAP upgrade from version 3.1h to 4.6b.

July 1996 – June 1999: Working as Project Team Leader for Andersen Consulting (now called Accenture) in the Competency group “Process”. The main role was to manage IT teams for SAP R/3 program implementation projects.

The different projects followed for Andersen Consulting were:

April 1999 – June 1999:

Design phase of the SAP R/3 4.0b Ericsson Time-to-Customer project in London. Responsible for the mapping and customizing of the business requirements for the Distribution Team, composed of four persons.

June 1998 – February 1999:

Implementation of SAP R/3 on the EniChem Emergency 2000 project, located in Nivelles. EniChem is the Italian state chemical company. The main responsibility was to gather the Belgian requirements and provide the functional solution in the Sales and Distribution (SD) area in order to complete the system’s prototype, in agreement with the central team.

The start-up has been successfully performed on January 1st 1999.

February – May 1998:

Implementation of SAP R/3 in the “Elixir” project for the international oil company Shell. Responsible for the management of the Sales group (8 persons) in collaboration with a business person from Shell. Pilot project to implement the SD, MM and FI/CO and the IS-Oil industry solution modules for all European countries.

February 1997 – February 1998:

Full implementation of the SAP R/3 version for the Belgian telecommunication company BELGACOM (project SCORE – SAP version R/3-3.1h). The objectives of the project were the re-engineering of the Distribution department procedures and the installation of the SAP system for this department.

Coach of the team “Sales and Distribution” (7 to 9 persons).

July 1996 – February 1997:

Project aimed to upgrade the SAP R/3 installation from 2.2 to 3.0 in the agricultural department of the Norwegian state chemical company Norsk Hydro.

Leader of the “Marketing” group, eight persons, located in three sites, in Germany and in The Netherlands.

Other activities within Andersen Consulting:

-Responsible for the preparation and the presentation of business proposals for SAP projects.

-Training leader in several SAP courses given to AC employees in the Veldhoven AC training center.

March 1989 – June 1996:

Staff of the Anglo-Italian company EVC International, joint venture between ICI (UK) and EniChem (Italy) for the production and the sale of PVC plastics.

Two roles were fulfilled during that period:

-Assistant of the Logistics Manager in the coordination centre during four years (1989-1993).

-From June 1993, member of the Sales and Distribution group in the implementation project of SAP R/2 in the Management Information Systems department. Development of the RV (Sales and Distribution) and RM (Material Management) modules.

-After the implementation of the system (January 1995), management of the helpdesk, composed of three persons in the “Support and Maintenance” team.

November 1987 – December 1987: Working for Sobemap, consulting company delivering IT solutions. Member of a project aimed to build a program for the management of the RTT building in Mons. The development language was Assembler 8088.

The contract was interrupted because of military duty (12 months in 1988).
