12/14 Declarations of Interest

Cllr Fryer CBC Lead Member Open Spaces.

13/14 ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN

RESOLVED Cllr Watson is elected as Vice Chairman.

14/14 To Confirm and sign minutes of the meeting held 17th JUNE 2014

RESOLVED: minutes of the meeting are accepted as a true record and signed by Cllr Goater, Chairman.

15/14 To consider options with regard to adoption of open space @ Willow Road/Fishpool Way

No further update.

16/14 Brook Lane – update from CBC/David Wilson Homes/chase up on monies towards play equipment offsite

Cllr Fryer to chase CBC and Clerk to chase DWH.

17/14 KGV

·  Grant funding – progression of application

Heritage Lottery Fund Project Enquiry Form, prepared in advance of the meeting was tabled.

RESOLVED:

To submit Enquiry Form subject to amendment as agreed.

First round application to be completed and submitted to meet the deadline. Application form to be emailed to members for input/response to assist in the application process.

·  To confirm progress in application for 106 monies

Cllr Watson confirmed that the Borough Council awaits formal application from the Parish Council.

18/14 Mill Lane

·  Wet pour repair at slide – update

Quotation approved at Full Council held on 5th August.

·  Bollards – progress report

No further update.

19/14 Playground Inspections

·  To consider issues raised on inspection reports

Cllr Watson tabled his inspection report (undertaken 18th August) and advised as follows:

I.  There is a loose bolt on the handrail at the Nexus Freeride

II.  The jitty from Thirlmere Road is overgrown and a pipe elbow projection at the entrance is potentially dangerous.

·  To confirm date of Annual Inspection/provider via CBC

Quotation approved, date of inspection to be confirmed.

20/14 Grounds Maintenance – to report and consider issues of concern

There were no issues of concern.
