Eligibility

“All schools are encouraged to enter teams in the six age groups. Currently there is no limit on the number of schools allowed to enter. However, with the exceptions of entries for the under 9 and under 15 2 piece sections which are open to all schools, teams from schools placed in the top six positions in the relevant age groups in the previous season’s Premier 5 Piece Championships, with “relevant” being determined according to the 5 Piece eligibility criteria, are not able to compete”.

Full eligibility document can be found on the I.S.G.A. website.

.I understand that I can enter any U15 team irrespective of their final position last year.

( Under 15 but over 13 on 1st September 2017. See 5Piece rules on website)

.I understand that if I want my U9 team to qualify for Premier 5 Piece Championship my team MUST compete in the 2 Piece competition and must finish in the top 12 places

.

The U9 Girls’ Challenge Cup 2 Piece category is for teams not wishing to qualify for the Premier 5 Piece championships in March 2018, but who may go on to compete in the Girls 4 Piece Challenge cup in January 2018.

.I understand the deadline for entry for this 2 Piece competition is Friday 6th October 2017.

. I appreciate that for my entry to be accepted it must be accompanied by a valid affiliation number. This is only issued by the Treasurer after the annual affiliation fee has been paid by my school.

Photography: Official professional photographer/s will be invited to attend the championships, which by its very nature, is in the public arena. When entering for the event the schools, parents and participants acknowledge this fact, which may result in the recording of his/ her image. Their professional equipment is designed to take action shots without flashlight. The contact prints are displayed and can be selected, printed and purchased at the event. If any parents do not wish their child to be photographed, ie at the Presentation, it is left to individual schools to ensure that the child is removed before team photos are taken. The organisers cannot take responsibility for this. There will be a camera register which has to be signed by all spectators and staff if they intend to take photos on a camera, video or mobile device.

No flash photography is allowed during the competition by spectators as this is dangerous for the gymnasts.

Insurance: By entering this event, you confirm that your school has insurance in place to cover pupils, staff, volunteers and anybody else representing your school at this event. I.S.G.A. does not carry insurance to cover anybody representing your school at this event.
