GENERAL PUBLIC DAY VENDORS POLICY
- The Fort Kearny Outdoor Expo (FKOE) is an annual event in which the outdoor recreation community focuses on a common goal—preserving the future and heritage of natural resources and outdoor recreation by providing opportunities for everyone to learn skills, safety, ethics, respect, and stewardship important in the conduct of our outdoor pursuits.
- The FKOE provides an opportunity for the public to learn about fish, wildlife, and outdoor recreation opportunities, skills, and ethics. Organizations, agencies, and businesses that are stakeholders in conserving, promoting, and enhancing our rich outdoor heritage are encouraged to participate in this event. The FKOE puts emphasis on learning the skills and stewardship necessary to ensure sustained resource conservation and management through responsible outdoor recreation.
- All exhibitors and presenters are required to keep education on hunting, fishing, wildlife watching, shooting sports, outdoor related skills, concepts of “fair chase,” ethical conduct in the outdoors, wildlife, fish and habitat
management, stewardship, landowner respect, and/or respect of public property as the thrust of their involvement. Interactive and “hands-on” exhibits, seminars, and activities are most preferred by participants. All vendors and exhibitors will be subject to the approval of the Expo Executive Board.
- Exhibitors and vendors are allowed to advertise, distribute literature, take orders and conduct over-the-counter sales at the FKOE. All Exhibitors and Vendors must attach a list of items they would like to sell at the Expo, to have reviewed and approved by the Expo Executive Board.
- Vendors displaying souvenirs, trinkets or other items must guarantee that all items comply with Native American Antiquities Act and will be tastefully displayed for presentation to a family environment.
- Exhibitors and vendors can hold on-site raffles, drawings and membership solicitations provided that any monetary proceeds go back into a recognized fish or wildlife-related cause or to defray FKOE costs.
- Under federal and state law, discrimination is prohibited on the basis of race, color, religion, age, gender, marital status, national origin, disability or political affiliation.
- Evidence of liability insurance may be requested from some demonstrators and vendors, depending on the nature of the demonstration/product/display.
- Incorporation of the Nebraska Game and Parks logo or namesake within any advertisement purchased separately by vendors must be pre-approved.
- Activities of a political nature or that do not comport with the purpose of the FKOE are strictly forbidden during the course of the event.
- THE BOARD RETAINS THE RIGHT TO DENY ANY EXHIBITOR,VENDOR, OR MERCHANDISE due to space limitations, time restrictions, or lack of compliance with Board policy. Notice will be sent via mail or email.

**Fees will be non-refundable. Fees may be waived for sponsors contributing $2,500 or more in monetary, service, product and/or equipment donations. A valid park permit is required to gain access to the Fort Kearny SRA. Park stickers are available at the Park Office for $6/day or $30/year (resident prices). All vendors, activity locations, program scheduling and display content will be approved by the Fort Kearney Outdoor Expo Executive Board. Due to space limitations vehicles/large equipment (Boats/ATV’s/RV’s/etc.) used in exhibits will need to be approved by the Expo Executive Board and located in designated outdoor activity areas. Advance delivery must be prearranged and security provided. All vendors must follow all state and federal regulations. Information provided in applications may be used in Fort Kearny Outdoor Expo marketing, website, print media and radio advertising.
