ARMY INDIVIDUAL ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2015
Date and Venue
1.The Army Individual AthleticsChampionships will be held at the Aldershot Military Stadium on Wednesday20 May 2015. This letter covers the rules pertaining to the Individual Championships.
Entries
- This fixture is an opportunity for athletes to be selected for the Army Team.
In the event that an individual is subsequently selected for the Army squads it will be necessary for Manager’s to record the contact details and unit addresses of all individuals competing. Para 11 refers. Individuals who wish to compete in an event are to submit their entry on the Individual entry form attached with this letter. Entries should be submitted to the Secretary of the Army Athletics Association on the official entry form provided, by Wednesday 15May 2015.

Rules
5.The Championships will be conducted according to UK (A).
6.It should be noted that all events will be held on one day. A provisional programme of events is attached with this letter. Additional track races may be included subject to the amount of entries received.
Entry Fees
7.Individual entry fees of £5.00per event should accompany entry forms. Entries will not be accepted without these fees. (See conditions of entry on entry form). Cheques should be made payable to “ASCB Central Bank”.
Prizes
8.Individual Army Athletics prizes will be awarded for each event providing there are at least 3 competitors in the event. Prizes will be awarded to the athletes that finish their event with the overall best time; jump or distance recordedand will be crowned as the Army Individual Champion for that event.
Accommodation
9.Accommodation in the Aldershot area is limited, therefore units should telephone CABS on Mil Tel: 01252 352154, Fax: 01252 352169 or for Out of Hours 9 6340 2100/Civi Tel: 0845 168 2100 or Fax: 00845 168 2150 at the earliest opportunity after qualifying.
Authority to Travel
10.a.Travel expenses for attending this event qualify as conditions of service travel for representative sport. Authority for travel to the competition is to be attributed to AG’s TLB. Travel at Public expense is authorised in accordance with 2014 DIN 10-030. All travel arrangements are to be the cheapest and most economical means and coordinated, therefore individuals travelling from the same or near unit should travel together.
Publicity
11.It is requested that this letter be given the widest distribution in Divisional Orders/Bulletins and all Unit Routine Orders, so that all athletes in the Army are given the opportunity to enter. This letter is posted on the Army AA website.
Summary
12.This is one of the few events in the Athletic calendar that provides a platform for new talent to demonstrate their potential and also provides an opportunity to check on the form of known athletes. Therefore Commanding Officers are respectfully requested to encourage their athletes to attend and release potential newcomers to compete in these Championships. The Army Team for the Inter Services Team Athletics Championships, due to be held at Aldershot Military Stadiumon Wednesday 8 July 2015, will comprise in the main, from those athletes selectedat these Championships.

2.Entries. Entry forms must be sent together with Entry Fees to the Secretary Army Athletics Association. The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. Cheques should be made payable to “ASCB Central Bank”. FAXED copies of entry forms are encouraged to assist in planning the event but will not be valid if event fees are not paid before the 18May 2015.
