STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENT:

  1. We will start selling REGULAR PARKING DECALS to the JUNIORS starting today,September 5th in the commons. You must have your tag information with you in order to purchase a decal. The cost is $5.00.
  2. ID’s must be worn around the neck and must be visible at all times.
  3. History Club signs up outside Brewer's room during homeroom each day until Sept 13th. MUST PAY $5.00 TO BE PLACED ON THE MEMBERSHIP ROLE AT THE TIME OF SIGN UP.
  4. Any students interested in joining the French Club should meet in W 114 during homeroom.
  5. NHS Members: If you missed our regular monthly meeting on Aug. 29, you have until Friday Sept 7 to read and sign the minutes posted in W210 ( Darnell)
  6. NHS Members: Club Dues of $5 are being collected each Tues and Thurs. from 7:50 to 8:15 at the east wing entrance (History Hall). These dues must be paid no later than Tues. Sept. 25
  7. Students interested in becoming a member of Future Educators Association pick up an application form from Mrs. Greene or Mrs.Ottis.
  8. SeriousART Students interested in joining the Art Clubplease sign up on the list outside E102.ART Dues is$7.00 and can be paid at the time of signup. Art club will meet for the first meeting Thursday Sept 6th during Homeroom in room E102
  9. Everyone is invited to the first First Priority meeting of the school year! We will meet on Wednesday morning at 7:45 am in the Lecture Hall.
  10. BOWLING TRYOUTS today, September 5th and September 7th from 4:30 to 6:00 at Indian Lanes in Clinton. Sign up sheets are on the counter in the front office. Students must sign up in order to tryout and bring a parental consent form with them to tryouts. Parental Consent forms can be picked up in the front office.
  11. Distinguished Young Women’s (former Jr. Miss) meeting istoday, Sept. 5th, 10:10am in the Cafeteria. This is for 10th graders interested in being Little Sisters in this program, and 11th graders interested in being contestants in this program.
  12. Anyone interested in going to Disney World this summer, please see Mr. Solis, Señora, Mrs. Tompkins or Mrs. Woodard-Berry.
  13. ANCHOR CLUB: Are you a generous person with a kind heart that likes to help others? Then Anchor Club is the club for you! Anyone interested in joining OR re-joining Anchor Club can pick up an application in Mrs. Berry's (aka Ms. Woodard) room in W212.You must have an 85 overall average from last year to join. (Mrs. Berry will check on grades - don't bother the counselors.)
  14. 2012 Yearbooks for juniors and seniors can be picked up in room W109 during4/5 or after school. Please do not interrupt class to pick up your book.
  15. Sumner Hill Yearbooks will be delivered sometime in September. Books will be distributed through homerooms here at CHS.
  16. Any student interested in going to Spain this summer should come pick up information from Mr. Freeny in W113.

SENIOR ANNOUNCEMENTS:

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: September 7 we will be having a senior tailgate before the game against Provine. We will be stationed on the side of the gym facing the football field. We are asking people to bring food, drinks, and decorations. Contact Brittany Thomas, Thomas Schmalz, or Morgan Browning for what to bring. Tents also needed.

Seniors, if you have not had your senior portraits made, you are getting close to the deadline. Mr. Ray said he will still take you, but not for long. Call to schedule your appointment at 601-932-1239.
