To announce a selection test for admission into the 1st year of the Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme of the Advanced School of Economics and Commerce (ESSEC) of the University of Douala for the 2010/2011 academic year.
THE RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DOUALA ANNOUNCES :
Within the framework of its permanent training and social promotion programme in Management, the Advanced School of Economics and Commerce (ESSEC) of the University of Douala has launched a selection test for admission into the first year of the Master in Business Administration (MBA) for the 2010/2011 academic year.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission into the Master’s Programme in Business Administration (MBA) is by study of application files. Prospective candidates should fulfil the following conditions :
- be holders of a Bachelor's degree or any other equivalent or higher University diploma, preferably not in management
- have at least two (2) years of working experience
Classes are held on Saturdays and exclusively in the evening on weekdays.
APPLICATION FILES
1) A handwritten application bearing a 1000 CFA francs fiscal stamp.
2) An information sheet (obtainable from the ESSEC secretariat, the Division of Animation and Socio-professional Relations, the Admissions Office, or the MBA Co-ordination office) ;
3) Three (3) letters of reference, one (1) of which should come from the candidate's hierarchy (form is obtainable from the ESSEC secretariat, the Division of Animation and Socio-professional Relations, the Admissions Office, or the MBA Co-ordination office) ;
4) An employer's authorization, for candidates who are employees ;
5) A certified true copy of birth certificate not older than three (3) months ;
6) A medical certificate not older than three (3) months delivered by a state medical practitioner;
7) A detailed Curriculum Vitae
8) Certified true copies of diplomas presented, verifiable if necessary ;
9) Transcripts of diplomas presented, verifiable if necessary ;
10) All professional congratulatory or encouragement letters, if any ;
11) Two (2) passport size photographs ;
12) The definite commitment of the employer, an organization or the candidate to pay all university fees on due dates as decided by the management of ESSEC (attestation to be attached to the file) ;
13) A self-addressed A4 envelope bearing a 400 CFA francs stamp ;
14) A receipt of a bank payment on the following account : ESSEC, n° 1601011963339, ECOBANK Cameroun, Akwa Pmuc Branch, Douala, of thirty (30,000) CFA Francs being fees for study of application files.
LATEST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF FILES
Application files should reach ESSEC (Director’s Office, Admissions office or MBA Co-ordination Office) not later than Thursday 30 September 2010.
STUDY OF FILES AND BEGINNING OF CLASSES
The study of files shall be carried out by a jury appointed by the Rector of the University of Douala in the first half of October 2010.
Classes shall start in the second half of October 2010.
