Magazines

Through three large-circulation print magazines, five Web-based magazines and ten companion e-mailed technology eNewsletters, SAE provides up-to-date information on the latest news in vehicle engineering and technology trends for four industry sectors – automotive, aerospace, truck and bus, and off-highway vehicles.

SAE's largest publication, Automotive Engineering International (AEI), is published monthly with a print circulation of nearly 88,000 worldwide. More than 25,000 of all readers are outside the United States. Among its target audience are engineers, designers, manufacturers, research and development staff, government agencies and students of automotive design and engineering. Coverage includes the latest news and developments for cars, light trucks, commercial vehicles and motorcycles. AEI provides feature articles and technical product information on topics such as energy, electronics, materials, testing, interiors, bodies, powertrain, manufacturing and performance. In addition to product news, AEI publishes interviews with industry officials and news about emerging markets in the automotive industry.

SAE's Aerospace Engineering & Manufacturing magazine is published nine times annually with a print circulation of more than 31,000. This magazine targets engineers and managers in the aerospace industry with coverage of the design and manufacture of military and civil aircraft, business jets, helicopters and other rotorcraft, satellites and spacecraft. AEM provides feature articles and technical product information on topics such as propulsion, manufacturing, avionics, electronics, materials, standards and regulations, testing and simulation.

SAEOff-Highway Engineering magazine is published eight times a year with a circulation of 16,000. This publication targets off-highway vehicle designers and engineers with coverage of self-propelled vehicles including construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and equipment used in forestry, military, mining and material handling. The magazine focuses on practical applications with information about powertrains, fuel, energy, electronics, testing, simulation, standards and regulations, and materials and manufacturing.

All three of SAE's publications are available on the Internet, where they are updated daily and where readers can find exclusive coverage not included in the print versions.

In 2007, SAE broadened its publishing base with the introduction of e-mailed technology eNewsletters that are customized to meet readers' specific interests on technology and engineering breakthroughs.

Both SAE's print and on-line publications provide a wide-reaching opportunity for the automotive, aerospace, truck and bus, and off-highway vehicle industries to advertise and promote their products.
