We have an opportunity for a Business Improvement Analyst to join the Shared Services Development team.Pivotal to the future success of our Shared Services journey, the Analyst will support the Business Improvement Manager by analysing key business processes to identify, recommend and evaluate opportunities to improve the customer experience and do more for less.

To succeed in this role you’ll bring good interpersonal skills with the ability to gather process details and identify solutions. You’ll have strong Stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for shaping and driving positive change. Creativity and a can do approach are highly valued, alongside the ability to absorb complex information and create simple and usable documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate business processes and systems using appropriate Business Analysis techniques in order to identify and recommend feasible options and actions to improve their operation.
  • Document the As-Is and To-Be business processes working with relevant Stakeholders to collect process data and knowledge.
  • Identify waste/efficiency savings, quantifying potential benefits in time, cost and resources as well as output quality.
  • Appraise and evaluate options for the implementation of identified business process/system improvements.
  • Create documentation and user guides using appropriate Business Process Modelling.
  • Produce use case diagrams to support IT investment requirements.
  • Support the Business Improvement Manager within Shared Services to deliver their required responsibilities, providing analysis, interpretation and evaluation of findings relating to both “As Is” and “To Be” processes.

Key Competencies

  • Ability to carry out deep diagnostics during process reviews whilst able to articulate the bigger picture.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key business stakeholders to identify and recommend improvements.
  • Clear and articulate communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Outstanding degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated and flexible to deal with constantly changing demands.

Qualifications & Attributes

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant experience in a similar Analyst role.
  • Relevant NVQ level 3 or; minimum of 2 ‘A’ Levels Grade C or above or; ONC in Business Management or; other equivalent qualifications.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience of operating in a Financial/Commercial environment where continuous improvement methodologies have been deployed.
  • Experience of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
  • A requirement to travel to different offices may be required.
