KIA FINDS THE DEVIL IN THE CERATO AT SEMA 2004

SEMA is the world’s largest aftermarket accessory and tuning show, representing more than 5,000 companies with a turnover of more than US$29 billion, and Kia USA used the Las Vegas show to reveal a hot supercharged version of the Kia Cerato.

With the massive size of the tuning and accessory aftermarket, Kia USA is keen to demonstrate to car tuners the Cerato is an excellent basis for project cars. The Kia Cerato Red Devil has changes to its body, interior, wheels, suspension and engine and it is completed by a DVD-based audio and video system.

“The all-new Kia Cerato can more than match its competitors as a platform for the affordable tuner market,” said Peter M. Butterfield, president and CEO, Kia Motors America. “It provides equal or greater levels of quality, drivability and good looks at thousands of dollars less than its competitors.
