This is a Unit Commander post at Flight Lieutenant level reporting directly to the Officer Commanding Operations Group. Core skills required are good management, communication and language abilities. Assisted by the Warrant Officer, Community Service Flight (WO CSF), the incumbent will
(a) vet, approve, reject and issue Community Service Taskings;
(b) with assistance from the General Registry, maintain a Community Service Hours Database;
(c)serve as the representative of the Corps at meetings with external organizations related to Community Service; and
(d) serve as the On Scene Commander at major community service operations.

This is to again remind all Unit Commanders that for the purpose of bringing the grooming standard of HKACC female members to those of the disciplined forces, military and auxiliary forces, and uniformed groups (e.g. CAS Cadet Corps, St John Ambulance Cadets, Road Safety Patrol), all female members should now wear their hair above the shirt collar when in uniform. If applicable, female members should twist their long hair in a bun above the neck.
The regulation hairstyle is to be observed by female members at all times whilst in HKACC uniform not just at formal parades but also during regular unit activities. Unit Commanders will be accountable to Major Unit Commanders for compliance.
