Post Title: Evening Class Tutor - SPANISH

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Languages - To teach Spanish on an appropriate range of courses and to contribute to the development of this provision with other members of the language team.

Key Duties:

Programme Delivery and Administration

·  To teach on an appropriate range of Spanish courses as directed by the College

·  To develop and implement a variety of teaching and learning styles

·  To help integrate the use of ILT into the Language classes offered

·  To assist other team members in ensuring that students maintain adequate progress

·  To deliver individual student support as required

·  To assess students’ work and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time

·  To assist in the recruitment and enrolment of students where appropriate

Development, liaison and networking

·  To assist in developing and marketing adult language classes for TRC

·  To be a member of the Modern Languages team, liaising with other college staff as appropriate;

·  To liaise as appropriate with outside agencies and organisations connected with our adult provision.

·  Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young

people.

Other key duties

·  To keep up to date with current developments affecting Modern Languages education

·  To contribute towards a supporting learning environment

·  To participate appropriately in the College Appraisal Scheme.

·  Other duties and responsibilities which might reasonably be required by the Principal.

·  PGCE, Cert Ed, C&G 7307 or equivalent / E
·  Successful teaching experience with 16-18 learners and/or adult learners / E
