Meeting was called to order by President, Bill Anderson at 7:07PM

Roll Call: 11 Clubs Present

Minutes of December Meeting- Bill said minutes stand as read.

Officer Reports

• Treasurer' Report-Reviewed over finical report and moving the Scholarship CD into money market account for 6, 12, and 18 months.

• President' Report- Bill wanted to thank the All Stars for the Christmas card that was sent out to the clubs.

• Secretary Report- Received a letter from the Butte County Farm and Home Support group about the Bowl-A Thon.

• Advisor's Report- Involved the group in a game and talked about important upcoming events.

Committee Reports

1. Livestock Leader Committee- Jane Scheuermann reminded council about the Livestock Symposium on Jan. 24fu will cost $15.00 for each person to attend to help cover cost

2. All Stars- Liz Shaw talked about her personal project collecting children books for Employment Centers. She will have a box at Fun Night for any donations. Also the All Stars will be doing the cake walk booth and want to remind clubs to bring cakes or cookies for the booth.

3. Fun Night- Valerie Sutton reported that she has about 11 clubs doing a game booth and some of the smaller clubs helping out at other places that night Valerie also asks council if she could purchase some aprons for the event chairs to wear so they can be easy identify.

Valerie moved that we buy some aprons for chaitperson to wear at each event. Seconded by Dave Scheuermann. Motion passed

Brenda Donnahoe reminded everyone about getting donations for the silent auction.

4. Presentations, Gold Ribbon Presentation Day? - Deanna Kossow talked about the good turnout for the first Presentation Day. I would like to thank all the judges for helping out and Marcie and Christy Boggs for helping in the Tech room and the use of the Butte College site. Gold RIbbon Presentation Day has not been schedule for the county this year. Is this something that we still want to plan and who will plan this event? After council have a discussion this event will happen on the same day as the last presentation day in February the presentation day committee will plan this event for this year.

Old Business:

1. Review Butte County 4-H Council Fair Requirements changes-Bill turned the changes back to Livestock committee to be review again before bring back to council for action.

2. Rainbow Craft Day- The office will be mailing out a packet of information and entries to Craft Project and Community Club Leaders.

3. Foods Fiesta Day- Kristen Peters says that they are having their first meeting on Friday.

4. Bowl-A- Thon- Nick says it very important that 4-H support this event because the program gets funding from this group. We would like to have club sponsor a team for this event See Nick for more information.

New Business:

1. 4-H Member and Adult of the Month- This member of the month is Marcie Boggs and Adult is Christy Boggs. You can read about then in the next Cloverleaf.

2. Nomination for 2009-2010 Butter County 4-H Council Officers- We need people start thinking about being a council officer for next year. Were looking for nomination or volunteers at this time.

3. Premier Exhibitor Competition- Christy Boggs is working on getting funding for this event at the Silver Dollar Fair and would like each club donate any money that is possible. Talk to her or Nick about making a donation.
