Cattle

Bovine TB and Pre-Movement / Post-Movement Testing: All cattle must be from herds on which no movement restrictions have been served by DEFRA. No animal accepted for entry may be exhibited if, after entry, such movement controls are imposed. All cattle moving from premises in parishes with a 1 or 2-year TB testing interval must have undergone a TB test with a negative result within 60 days of the Show. Exhibitors must provide a photocopy of these test results no later than one week before the Show. These results must be available for inspection on the day. Herds where the TB tests are scheduled at an interval of 3 years or more will not require Pre-movement testing but will require to be Post-Movement tested between 60 and 120 days after the show. In the event these regulations change, Exhibitors should be aware and must comply with the current rules, legislation and conditions in force at the time of the Show.

BCMS: All Cattle must be identified and listed on the entry form and accompanied to the Showground by their individual passports; all movements on and off the Showground must be reported to BCMS within 3 days. Please ensure you have the correct passports for all your animals and have them available on arrival to be produced before unloading.

All entries in the cattle classes must be halter trained and manageable and lead by a young farmer.

Sheep

ARAMS-1 Movement Licenses: Current movement license conditions must be complied with. All Sheep arriving at the Showground must be identified in accordance with SAGRIMO (electronic or conventional) and accompanied by a fully completed, signed and dated Movement License, a new Movement License must be completed on their return to your resident holding. Please ensure you have the correct documents available on arrival and departure for the Stewards to collect and forward the relevant copies to your Local Authority within 3 days.

Photocopies of green SAC MV Sheep Certificates (not SH20) must be sent in with this entry form, if applicable. The expiry date must be after the date of the Rally.

SAC MV Sheep Certificates must be presented on arrival on Rally day if applicable.

MV Accredited Sheep must not travel in the same vehicle as Non MV Accredited Sheep.

There are no facilities for lead MV Accredited Sheep, only pens available.

All entries in the ram classes must be halter trained and manageable and led by a Young Farmer.

Sheep may be sheared for the 2017 Rally

Pigs

Pigs moving to the show must be identified by either an ear tag or a tattoo. Pig movements must be notified using the online eAML2 system or via the eAML2 helpline on 0844 3358400. A paper copy of the document must accompany them for the transport.

Weight and age limits will be strictly applied. Any animal which, in the opinion of the Chief Steward, is clearly older or heavier than the stated limit for the Class will be moved into the appropriate Class. The Chief Steward’s decision will be final.

Any number of exhibits may be entered. Clubs will be awarded 3 points per entry (up to a maximum of 9 points per class) provided that all completed entry forms reach Alison Redman by Sunday 9th April 2017. FIVE penalty points will be deducted for each animal/pen of animals which is entered but fail to be exhibited unless the member has contacted the Chief Steward, who is happy with the reason, or a valid veterinary certificate is produced
