Executive Committee Meeting Minutes Friday, February 19th, 2016

  • Clarity of Purpose-Reviewed outcomes and performance measures
  • Communication
  • Team Development-Transportation Task Force/ redefining Housing Task Force
  • Reviewed goals set in 2015-Do we need to evolve in a different direction? Discuss this further at next EC meeting.
  • Solutions:
  • Student Project-Have a student group from Gateway or NKU document the history of the Safety Net Alliance. Andy Brunsman with Be Concerned may have a student intern that could possibly work on the project and will report at the next meeting.
  • Branding the Safety Net Collaborative
  1. Protocols
  • The protocols have been reviewed and are ready for distribution with the Evergreen Agreement.
  1. Evergreen Agreement and Executive Directors Breakfast for March
  • Agreement to collaborate was reviewed and corrections have been noted. The new agreement will not expire ( paragraph 2)
  • Section #4 Reporting will be Bi-annual; training will be provided on reporting. Tracking tool for reporting will be discussed further at the next EC meeting. Jennifer, Shellie and Jena will work on a tracking tool.
  • Melissa Sommer will send out email to Executive Directors to invite them to breakfast meeting on 3/16.

  • Becky Ewing will schedule speakers in 2016 for all SNA General Meetings and send bio’s to facilitator of each meeting.
  • Melissa will take care of all meeting agendas.
  • There will be no cancellation of Safety Net Alliance Meetings due to weather. SNA members will be advised to travel to their own risk; if the speaker is unable to make a meeting we will hold round table discussions in lieu of scheduled speaker time.
  1. Goals
  • Each sub-committee of the SNA will be asked to submit the goals of their committee on 3/16.
  1. Reporting Review
  • Food Committee reports that they are currently working on getting assistance to Silver Grove and other areas that may be considered underserved or food deserts. The Food Committee is also looking at gaps in food service to Senior Living facilities. The Food committee would also like to bundle Financial Services with food service to the underserved areas of the tri-county region.
  • Housing Task Force is working on redefining their goals and objectives and will schedule another meeting once those goals and objectives are discussed.
  • Web Committee will report at the next EC meeting
  • Furniture Task force is on course with the Sweet Dreams project for 3/19 and hope to have another build in the fall.
  • Work Supports is currently on hold for a Work Supports Fair.
  • Impact and marketing has been rolled into the Executive Committee.
  • Next SNA General Meeting will be 3/16 with Dustin Dichiaria owner of Chick Fil-A Florence and steering committee chairperson for the NKY Leadercast Conference will be presenting along with Cami Phillips from Job Corps.
