STUDENT INTERPRETATION ELECTRONIC ASSIGNMENT
RATIONALE: It is vitally important that you have a full understanding of the Constitution of the United States. The topics presented in the remainder of the course will bring about questions of constitutionality. The student will need to have a working knowledge of the Constitution of the United States and all amendments and be able to link topics of discussion to the Constitution.
DIRECTIONS:
1.Log on to the internet and enter the following web address:

This will direct you to the National Constitution Center’s Interactive Constitution.
2. At the top of the page, you will find the divisions of the Constitution starting with the Preamble. For each division, read the text of the Constitution.
3. Below the text of the Constitution, you will find an explanation of the Preamble, the Articles, and the Amendments as presented in The Words We Live By by Linda Monk. Read the explanation for further understanding of the text.
4. Make a list of all Supreme Court Decisions and a brief explanation that corresponds to the Article or Amendment under study.
4. In bulleted form, write your own explanation of each section using the text and the interpretation by Monk.
5. When you have finished, print a hard copy to turn in and save a copy to your hard drive or flash drive.
